Well no need to talk about trades...clearly not going to happen. I hate this organization.

“So, are we going to at this point in time, be giving first round picks and high picks for rental players? I don’t think we’re in that position. Just doesn’t make sense.’’

no what doesn't make sense is that after 12 years with you at the helm, the isles are STILL not in a position to be trading away futures for rentals.

While I'm going to be pissed off if they don't make a move to shore up the D (im sure I will be), in fairness he did specify rentals in his quote about not trading high draft picks. Maybe if it were someone with some term that's a different story

C'mon guys let's give Snowy a break here. Injuries are probably the reason why he hasn't made a move! :sarcasm:

Pathetic. f*** him. I hope he loses his job and ends up on the f***ing street. if you suck this much at your job you deserve the worst

What a f***ing idiot... that defense was easily bottom 5 before injuries. And i love the "I'm not making excuses, so heres some excuses" statement. Makes him sound brilliant and not at all like an egotistical douche

Attaboy Garth. You’ll keep all your draft picks for tomorrow and let the ship go down today. Again.

Injuries? they havnt had a very good team once in 30 years. In 93 they barelly made the playoffs. Snow should be laid off till July if he has nothing left to do work wise. Loser organization. Im sorry I hope tavares walks i wanted him to walk last time he was a fre agent to show the world he was workibg for a bunch of losers.

Well, I agree with Snow that he shouldn't deal picks for rental players. Isles definitely aren't in a position for that. Imagine dealing a first for Mike Green and missing the playoffs :(

However, trading a first for Tanev for example, is ok. You get him for multiple years.

Okay, I’ll bite. Yes, injuries are the reason this team is in danger of missing the playoffs, but how do you go into the season with what you did when YOU KNOW Boychuk is going to miss significant time at some point and de Haan has a history of shoulder injuries???

That is what baffles me the most.

On top of that, Ladd’s had injuries before coming here and since being here, Cizikas plays a hard nosed style, even Halak is usually pretty fragile but has survived thus far (knock on wood).

Imagine if Matt Barzal wasn’t who he is...

Snow is right to not trade for rentals.

Snow is an asshole and flat out wrong for blaming this season on injures. Blame is in him for having Pelech, mayfield, Hickey, Seidenberg and Pulock make up the bottom 3 D and getting top 4 minutes when guys (inevitably) get hurt.

Eagles just won the SB without their LT and qB. Two most important positions. But the Isles can’t make the playoffs in a bad conference after losing two Dmen and a 4th liner; f*** off Snow.

Was thinking the same thing.

Said it earlier too. If he makes a deal with a high pick or blue chipper, it will be for a guy with term.

If there is a single Snow supporter left after the interviews/quotes from him today, then you are straight up a moron who will never see the truth. The man is now proven to not only be incompetent but a flat out liar. If you go back to Newsday articles from last years draft he was quoted as saying he made the trade of Hamonic for futures to add to the current lineup and upgrade the NHL roster. He has not made a single move since then. Now he is saying he will not trade any of these draft picks because it does not make sense the position we are in. The reason we are in this position is because he did not do his job or what he promised. Now because he chooses to do nothing, he is blaming injuries on the reason we are a borderline playoff team? We were the worst defensive team in the league before we had a single injury.
Do you hear any other teams complaining about injuries, there are probably a dozen teams in the league with as many injuries as us. But even more importantly, this defense is awful at FULL STRENGTH. A defense built (and extended) by Garth Snow.
If the owners are buying this crap about doing nothing because it makes no sense and because injuries have made it a wasted season, they need to get their heads out of their asses. How in the world does John Tavares look at this GM and team and decide to stay. There will be no fans left by the time the new arena opens.
I honestly hope something happens to Garth Snow that he can no longer do the job. I am not the kind of person to ever wish ill will on a person, but I just cannot take it with this man anymore. Nobody this incompetent should continue to be able to live the stress free life with no accountability that this man has.

Hate Snow, but you are misquoting him.

He said he won’t trade for RENTALS. Never said he won’t make any trades. And he shouldn’t trade for rentals.

His comment about injuries is Bs and is the reason he should be fired.

So it's injuries again...dehann goes down and Boychuk goes down and this bafoon doesn't think...maybe I should pick up a Veteran D man(just a solid player) with NHL experience for a 3rd round pick and a mid level prospect? No he decided to play a revolving door of rookies and 2 year players. Garth probably never faced 50 shots a game,or maybe he'd see things a lot different right now. He's knows this is not a cup contender and is hoping to squeak into the playoffs. He's not burning picks for a chance they get in. Sat on his hands when he should have pulled the trigger a month ago! Sorry just tired of this B.S.

nothing to see here- history speaks for itself. moves needed to have been made once CDH went down. we do have plenty of injuries, but if you choose to sit on your hands when (at the time) we had a top 3 scoring team to improve our goals against, when will snow ever do anything?

So we lose CDH. Garth does nothing. We lose boychuck, garth does nothing. Now we are on the brink of playoffs and garth won't trade a pick bc we are on the brink? But that's bc you did nothing!....oh forget it, I'm rambling. It's exhausting.
