The shine on Prishchepov has clearly worn off for Bednar. 6 minutes tonight and 5 minutes last game.

It’s very clear Prish and Tynan will be sent down. Wagner probably sticks as the 13th forward. Nuke/Drouin/Wood all in for Friday.

Wagner not only killing penalties for Bednar, he is winning faceoffs against O'Reilly impressively.

Still useless but at least not a net negative player recently.

Final numbers:

Shot Attempts 67-63 Avalanche
Shots on Goal 32-31 Avalanche
Scoring Chances 36-32 Nashville
High Danger Chances 18-10 Nashville (9-8 Avs after the 1st as that period really skewed these numbers)
xGF 3.87-2.86 Nashville

Saros played as expected while Georgiev stopped nearly 2 more than expected. I still don't trust his flailing lack of rebound control ass even after a good-ish game.

What is Moser's obsession with calling the players by their first names anyways? He doesn't want to say Mittelstadt or what?

Hey man, much as we all shit on him he more than earned it tonight, especially that desperation save on Josi.

I didn’t love that first goal (bad rebound, bad recovery) but outside of that I thought he was fine. Overall I wasn’t overly thrilled with the effort tonight, they just seemed a tad sluggish. But hey they got the win.
Sluggish was an accurate descriptor. Even MacK looked a bit gassed in the 3rd.

Georgiev had been playing calmly and collected at the top of his crease of late. But tonight some of those panic vibes started to creep back in. His "save" on Josi in the 3rd was total desperation. The puck was visible and free under his outstretch pad and one of his defensemen managed to push it away first. Just after that play, he again got caught sprawling after being unable to plant his goalie skate and making a controlled push off to his glove side.

Still... he might be building some confidence. But honestly, overall, he's not a precision, disciplined, high technique goaltender. I really don't know what Bednar sees in him. Annunen is far more disciplined in the crease than George is.

What I wouldn't give to have a Saro's in the Avalanche net instead....

Take that worst team in the league!
