Post-Game Talk: GAME 9 - THROW THE CAT OFF THE CLIFF!!!! - BRUINS 3 Sunrise 2 F/OT

Here we go again. First it was Jake had a drinking problem, now he's having mental health issues. Just because some posters think he should be playing better. This is really irresponsible to just fling things around like this (and I know you are responding to someone who dropped the mental issues first).

He is Russian spy. Nervous he is under suspicion.

this is why fighting with visors, tho the only real possibility these days, is difficult
Oof, better than the sides of the helmet. Seen some serious lacerations from those.

Its a catch-22, you both take your helmets off and someones head is most likely hitting the ice on the takedown. Keep them on and you mangle your hands which are kinda important.

An eye for an eye leaves both blind in an eye. This shit isn't what should be considered sports. You maybe ok with deliberate headshots like that but when it happens to your guy you won't be. I would literally be fine with 10 games to anyone to start getting that garbage out of the game.

Not even close to what #73 did.

You claim " eye for an eye " but yet want us to not complain if McAvoy gets run at in the next game. Your thoughts are too all over the place on this.

Nowhere did I say I was ok with McAvoy's hit. You're trying too hard.

I'm pretty sure Bennett jumped into & left his feet on that hit on Carlo early in the first
Bennett plays with a recklessness, put him in the category of Clutterbuck and Ovechkin, while I won`t celebrate injury to anyone, there are a few I cry no tears over, he is one

Gutsy win, Chuckie likely to get a few games and he should. I try to look at these things from the point of view that if the roles were reversed and it was a Bruin taking that hit, would I call for a suspension for a targeted hit and my answer on this was was yes

Depth gonna get tested again this year early on

I didn't say he never had mental issues. I said taking his play through a small part of the season and projecting that he's struggling due to mental health issues is beyond the pale.
It’s a fair question asked out of concern and factoring in precedent. Your objection is what is beyond the pale, as are accusations of being irresponsible in expressing concern.

Mental Health is nothing to be taken lightly, and tossing it out there because the guy what, hasn't scored yet? That's irresponsible. There has been nothing to indicate anything remotely of the sort.

Dude - you shifting a question to a projection is what is (intellectually and morally) irresponsible here. Expressing concern when similarities are noted and a documented history are not irresponsible. You need to stop this. It’s okay to be concerned.

I disagree, and this is the kind of thing that adds to the stigma of mental health issues.

Ironically, by you placing a boundary around expressing concern for a mental health issue, when you wouldn’t place the same boundary around concern for an injured ankle, you are actively contributing to stigma.

You’re also straw-manning here in that nobody but you attributed goal scoring here - in fact, I specifically commented on energy and facial expression.

I run a charity hockey tournament every year in support of mental health awareness following the suicide of a best friend in 2014.

I counsel hockey players specifically because they are notoriously closed off in talking about their feelings.

I counsel addicts.

I engineered enterprise-wide initiatives in support of mental health awareness and anti-bullying.

I take an accusation of being flippant about mental health extremely seriously, and you casually accusing while being intellectually dishonest and moving goalposts is offensive.

He has zero actual goals.

Too simple?

Too simple? depends on what your using that statement to talk to. People are freaking out because DeBrusk doesn't have a goal yet. We've seen people with a wide range of speculation as to why he hasn't scored yet. If I look at the numbers its not for a lack of trying (though I'd like to see him with more shots) and could be as simple as just being a little unlucky. If he was bottom of the pile for the Bruins in things like chances, high danger chances, expected goals, then I'd be more concerned that there was an actual problem.

Zacha is a perfect example. People were questioning him because he had 1pt in the first 5 games. His underlying numbers actually were pretty good despite the results not showing on the scoresheet. Fast forward and he has 5 points in his last 4 games.

Great win! I didn't get to see the game, but by the highlights it looked like Geekie had a pretty good game as well?

It's funny, because before last game, I was thinking that it would nice if McAvoy could step up and be more of an impact player. Then he scored that goal-crease flying goal, and added a beauty last night. Unfortunately also will likely miss some time with the head-shot on OEL.

Chance to see Lohrei? And maybe an opportunity for Lindholm to up his game by playing a bigger role.
