Yes, its too early.

Hard to fault a guy that has a goals against of 1.77 and save percentage of .939.

Eye test hasn't seen much of a distinction to me.
That was more directed at the notion that Ullmark was this season's MVP, when he hasn't even been the team's best goalie (through 4 games each). Both have been great, though Swayman has been a bit better. My eye test shows Swayman being more consistent, while Ullmark has made a bunch of truly great stops. It's just too early to anoint either one the MVP yet.

I personally love Bennett & the way he plays

Classic love/hate player. If he was on the B's he'd be loved around here.
I wanted the Bruins to go after him when it was rumoured the Flames were moving him. I know a few here did as well.

I don't wanna hear any linus trade proposals. Ever. Mvp of team last year and looks like this year too.
You called him mentally weak like two games ago lol

What a nice problem to have. 2 great goalies snd of course HB has to argue who is greater lol

Some of these comparisons between our goalies here remind me of my youth.

Many years ago I was involved in a torrid, smoking hot romance with Elle McPherson. Of course at the same time I was very very physically involved with Bo Derek. We were all just crazy kids and couldn't get enough of each other every damn night of the week. Fun times.

But I tell you what, on a Saturday night it was hard to know how to play it. Bo? Elle? Bo? Elle?

Of course league rules wouldn't let me play both at once so I had to pick. Unfortunate, damned inconvenient, and very square if you ask me.

Oof, better than the sides of the helmet. Seen some serious lacerations from those.

Its a catch-22, you both take your helmets off and someones head is most likely hitting the ice on the takedown. Keep them on and you mangle your hands which are kinda important.

Boris & Natasha vs Moose & Squirrel. I know who I'm betting on! :DD

Ya I can see that. I travel a lot for work so I’ve taken advantage of other broadcasts too. Especially if it’s the vegas broadcast with Goucher.

There are certainly times when Jack is on some nonsensical tirade or he’s on his 10th metaphor of the first period and I’m just like damnit jack will you stfu and call the game for once.

However this year it’s his last year so I’ve been tuning in no matter what. But regardless he’s super passionate for the team so have to respect that.
He really struggles at times to get his words out. I feel for him. Hope whatever is ailing him improves.

One thought I had after Charlie's goal - if he can take the next step offensively he can really take some pressure off the rest of the team from the offense they lost in the offseason.

We spent the offseason wondering which forward some of these points might come from to replace Bergy/Krejci, would be a nice surprise if some of that comes from McAvoy finally filling a bigger offensive role. Almost a PPG so far.

Ya it'll help if he doesn't head hunt. At least it's just a phone hearing I guess.

Here we go again. First it was Jake had a drinking problem, now he's having mental health issues. Just because some posters think he should be playing better. This is really irresponsible to just fling things around like this (and I know you are responding to someone who dropped the mental issues first).
To be fair. This drinking rumor came from a poster on here who "heard" it from Sean Avery's podcast.

I don't believe that for one second, as the Boston media is ruthless. And if it were true, you'd hear it on Felger and Mazz. Sean Avery is so irrelevant that nobody cares what he says.

It's so crazy for him to throw out this rumor that Jake was drunk and that's why he was late to the team meeting but NOBODY else has said it, published an article on it, or commented on it. It's irresponsible by him.

But then again, Sean Avery is an absolute douchebag so I don't believe a word he says on anything. Lol

Avery is a Leafs fan who has a history of hating on Jake DeBrusk going back to the series where Kadri headshot Jake and got suspended. Avery said the only thing wrong with Kadri's hit was that he didn't take out a row of Jake's teeth in the process.

So yeah, garbage in, garbage out.

Has DeBrusk not looked good or just not playing to what fans expect based on last year? To me those are two very different things. Has he played to level he did last year? no. Has he looked awful? no. Do the number indicate that he's playing poorly? no.
I have seen him make several good defensive plays this year. Wouldn't necessarily accuse him of coasting. He definitely gelled well with Bergy and Brad last year. Montgomery has been shuffling the lines this year. He may just be trying to figure out how to play with constantly changing linemates. Some people need stability to thrive.
