I'm not saying don't post this. I just want to caution you about Chicago:

They put giardiniera on everything.

I think that was the right call. Tough to score from that angle on the backhand…

Plus I think the shot was off before the trip.

Not according to the stat cards last night. Burns did get bailed out a couple of times, but he mostly played well.

nice to see the game score and underlying stats aligning with the eye test for jaaska. i know he also picked up 2 A last night, but has been noticeably good most games he has played for us. definitely an NHL player.

I like Jaaksa for sure but I don’t want to pretend he’s anything more than he is either. I think because he can center and kill penalties in a pinch he’s a great depth guy but I don’t think he’s more than a 13th forward.

That’s good to see that the stats contradict my eye test (I’m a Burns fan/defender). Perhaps I should’ve elaborated that the past handful of games I’ve noticed more lapses that I can remember previously (puck-watching a few times - I think there’s been a goal or to against recently as a result, turnovers, etc…just generally ‘oof’ moments)
