Fenway as a cat owner and lover …..really (I know you are same but ….can’t we put Matt Tkachuk or Sam Bennett in there instead)

From Jim McBride Boston Globe

Matt Grzelcyk exited with an upper-body injury midway through the first period and his partner, Charlie McAvoy, was given a match penalty for a high hit to the head of Florida’s Oliver Ekman-Larsson in the third.
“It’s going to be a couple of weeks, it looks like [on Grzelcyk],” coach Jim Montgomery said.

As for McAvoy, he’s facing a possible fine and/or suspension for his hit, which occurred as he was powering through the slot in front of the Florida net. Ekman-Larsson went down for a bit but didn’t leave the game.

I’m in Texas and we watch out of town broadcasts except for in between periods - love Jack but he should not be doing this unless he has emails or dirt on who makes the decisions

It’s also possible JJ who’s watching in Buffalo is sympathetic and likes Jack and it’s his team and station - that to me has to be it
Honestly the thing for Jack to do is step down out of respect for the fans who deserve a better broadcast.

I feel for him with whatever is going on, but this has been going on for a while now and it's getting worse.

Agree - I can’t watch

Gotta be Jeremy who’s watching broadcasts and no one I know has seen him at games in awhile

If it was driving him nuts he wouldn’t have been back seems a possibility

Not really. The Devils offloaded an underperforming player and got a good 3C in return who can move up the lines in a pinch and is playing well for them. A franchise that had also drafted Hughes, Hischier and Bratt had no particular need of Zacha, and cutting him loose and freeing up a little cap space in the process has helped them land Meier and Toffoli, who already have 17 points between them to start the season. The NJ roster is stacked and I doubt they miss Pavel at all.

But he's a very good get for the Bruins, especially with the great value contract he signed. Sometimes trades are win-win. This was one of them.
It’s still a steal.

B’s gave away Blake Wheeler for Peverley and cap space and won the Cup so we can live with it but that was still a steal for WPG.

That could have gone better.

My guess is that they really wanted to give Jack the centennial year as one last ride before he retires.

A steal, as in a bargain, sure, it was. But the poster said that the Bruins 'fleeced' NJ. That's what I disagree with. The Devils got good value out of the deal, maybe not in raw assets, but certainly in terms of what they wanted and the bigger picture, and are almost certainly better for it. That's hardly a fleecing.

I don’t mind Jack let him go as long as he wants. He does good enough on the play by play just seems to mumble nonsense every once in a while. Unless we can get Goucher back then Jack can hit the streets.

Hey did they move Poitras to wing at one point last night?
For a bit he was playing with Zacha and Pasta.

4-5 games? McAvoy isn't getting 4.

That was 100% intentional attempt to injure. He had head contact in front of his own net early in the game, so you never know with DOPS. Anyone advocating less than 3 is a blatant homer and will put their own team in jeapordy. How would you like Lindholm
getting hit like that by Montour or Ekblad?

I saw the Anderson hit and that deserved 6-7 games easy and Laine had the puck.

Don't whine when something like this happens to McAvoy next time the play Florida.
