Not sure what Charlie was thinking but probably gets a couple - to bad will miss Leafs game. Hopefully OEL is ok- don’t want to see that happen blind sided

If they can’t beat Boston without their top D pair an embarrassment

I received a trolling warning for saying OEL should take the hit like a man, not a school girl. I wasn’t trolling (whatever that means) I just hate NHL players acting like soccer pansies. Yes, he got clipped in the head, but the drama queen reaction was unnecessary. I’m not looking for an argument. This is just my opinion.
Was it here or on the Main Board?

Although side note; Haula has 5 goals in 7 games for the NJD lol.
That's called a "win/win."

Can someone explain the throw the cat off the roof? I had to rewind to make sure I heard it, haha

Goaltending kept the B's in the game again. What a luxury.

Missed the 48 injury. Thought I saw him go down a bit awkward by the net but didn't look like something to leave the game from.

Then send out Heinen as the 3rd defensive player in OT. Talk about not wanting to play Carlo or Forbert.
I'm pretty sure the Panthers started OT with 3 forwards.

Not an uncommon thing

Horrible first period but we squeaked it out thanks to the PK. I like the win but I didn't really care for our game as a whole. Not enough players generating offense and most of all, despite Florida already having a diminished D corps we didn't forecheck and hit their D - just like the playoffs. It's their weakness, and yet we don't try to exploit it. I don't get that but whatever, we won.

Regular season points is all that matters.

Besides all the crap that the Panthers pulled that the refs "didn't see" I wonder what in particular got Charlie pissed off enough to hit OEL like that? Was it a nasty hit to Gryz or the other cheap shit? It's too bad he didn't do it against an antagonist since there are maybe 4 or 5 Panthers who were more deserving IMO.
BTW: When do we find out about Poitras?

I was wondering that as well. He wasn't on the Panthers team last season so it doesn't go back to that.

Not happy about this, but looks like we are going to see Mason Lohrei. Especially if Gryz misses games. When does he get called up?

I don't get it. If you throw the cat off the cliff, won't it still land on all fours?

I was surprised Tkachuk wasn't that noticeable much of the night.

Both Barkov and Zacha scored as the shooter on 2-on-1's. Brickley talked about not over-playing the pass, but gotta give credit to both.

I also wonder what ticked off McAvoy, no excuse for it but I am curious and I do agree that OEL did do an acting job - I loathe when players go down and then lie still but the camera catches the eyes looking around to see if anyone is coming - that is what I saw last night. I am not saying it wasn't a penalty because it was. I'm glad he wasn't really hurt - he didn't go to the dark room or miss a shift as far as I can recall.

Anyway, here's another cat to throw off the cliff. Thanks for the two points and exiting stage left.
