Game #9 10/28/14: Philadelphia Flyers 3, LA Kings 2 (OT)

Atrocious turnover. Meh, it happens. When you play 3 in 4, take every point you can get.

It worries me that some guys played a ton and will be on short rest, but whatever. In a week or so we might actually get to see this lineup at full strength. 14 out of 18 points is a pretty sick start, considering the injuries and uninspired play that has plagued the team.

Im fine with the OT point. We were down a guy and without 4 key components. Still look pretty outta sync though outside of the 2nd line. Quick is a stud.

I disagree, he was slowing down and when schenns knee and skate bumbled him he sped up.
Not saying the Kins deserved to win but that could have been waved off. Oh wait it was .
 
I love Simmonds but he aggravates me sometimes. Celebrating like school girls? For what a meaningless regular season game because the Kings traded you 3 years ago? Get over it, no wonder the Flyers haven't done **** since the trades.

I just take it as a sign that everyone circles the 2-time champs on the calendar. It's clear as day that every team gets up for us. Look at their game quotes and how prepared they were.

Despite the cavalcade of circumstances conspiring against us, we're tied for first in the league. And have yet to play our real game. Thank you, #32 and 70s.

Well it must suck knowing the team that traded you went on to win 2 cups. He's gotta know it will take some luck to even play in a finals let alone win one.

Always liked him, but 2 cups is much better than having him still.

But to be fair, a regular season win against the Kings is like the World Series, Stanley Cup Final, Super Bowl, and Chanukah all wrapped up into one game for the Coyotes. OEL agrees.
 
Meh, I think if Quick was never touched his momentum would stop him right at the goal line. But the extra nudge pushed him way past it and right into to the net. Whatever, its good to get a point where we are not at full strength and currently struggling. Thank god we won all those home games!

I guess what bothers me is that they waved it off, then came back and said that the reason it was a good goal was because it was over the line before the contact was made... In the replay you can see very clearly that he makes contact before the puck is over, so that negates the reason they went against their initial no goal call.

One point without Kopi or Voynov and a shortened bench? I'll take it. Hope Quick takes it out on the Penguins instead of another one of his sticks.

Stuff like that is a great source of satisfaction for me. Remember feeling like a regular season game mattered THAT much? It's what you do when you haven't won Cups. Poor souls.

Now pardon me, I'm off to read about how a We Won The Trade Banner > Actual Banners. Lol that never gets old. :)

That pass just screamed interception, and Simmonds was just waiting for it as well, even if the pass went through. Just a bad play all around by him after the Kings were controlling the play after an icing.

Noticed that too, it was a terrible pass anyway.

Both Schenn and Simmonds were waiting for it. The old Muffin again.
