I know many have said it is not time to worry. Well we are now 9 games in at at over 34 shots against game. Quick is keeping us in and winning games. But how long can it hold out?

Game was pretty good....

Richards did quite well.. goal and played well... had a nice defensive play where he knocked a guy over stripped the puck and didn't even lose a step...

Toffoli had a sick move....

70's line still maintained pressure in the offensive zone most of the time they were on the ice.

Take the point and get ready for the next one!!!

Maybe there will be something to be Wealy excited about!

Agreed with Ron. What happened?

He put it off JO's right leg pad (quick down butterfly)
Quick had been dropping back in his crease, so he was sliding.

Angle kinda cuts it off, but stick foot or other from flyer dragged it off of the right leg pad and put it in behind JQ's left thighrise (against his knee, behind the pad) where it stayed.

Guy contact JQ's left legpad. Quick was all ready sliding back, but was spun towards his left putting left leg a little farther back and speeding up quicks slide.

Quick continued backwards CLEARLY crossing the goal line after contact, with puck still hung up in knee.

Ref called no goal immediately. In Ref huddle they changed the on ice call to goal, then determined contact was made after the puck crossed the line.

Quick MAY have dragged it back anyways, From what I saw it would have ended on his right leg pad, possibly dead on ice or in front of quick had it not been crashed into and pushed into his kneepad area.

(and someone will have a gif up before I hit submit reply  )

IMO clearly bad call. COULD have still coasted back with JQ, but was DEFINITELY pushed back with him. Oh well, with that short of a bench I'll take a point and no injuries. Bring on the Weal now that we got emergency call up moneys.

Take the point, be happy (enough), is how I feel. Yes, there are concerns, but again, it's early in the season -- I'd rather get this audition period over now than when the pieces should be slotting into place for the post-season run. "Play for the win at home, and the tie on the road".

Besides, currently they're still just one ROW behind Anaheim for the division lead, and if the Ducks lose tonight in Chicago, the Kings take the lead again on percentage. Not gonna be mad. Marathon, not a sprint, yadda yadda.

Yeah, for all the rediculousness and worry this season, we are sitting pretty ****ing good.

Hard to get too hung up on D and SOG when we have had 1 game were we actually picked our D-lineup, and every other game has been use who is available.

Two Cups in three seasons = I don't give a **** if the refs blow a call during the regular season.*

*I didn't see the OT so I don't know if it was a blown call or not.

It's not about the Kings. Yes, Muzzin caused it. It's about the refing in this league. It's about Toronto.
I am happy with the Kings. I grow more and more frustrated with the officiating.

I think if they had just lost on the turnover and Schenn had just scored, instead of the goal/no goal because of contact issue things would've been easier to swallow. Sutter reaction on the bench was pretty funny, you could totally read his lips.

King lead all forwards in icetime, let that sink in for a second...and was a -2.
Doughty played close to 30 min tonight too.

He should be pissed that he doesn't know how to pokecheck.

I think we all want Quick using his stick as little as possible.
:sarcasm:

I'd be pissed if I were him too honestly.
It doesn't seem to be up/working on hockeystreams ondemand section, but when it is I'll see if I can make a gif out of it.

The league threw everything at the kings they could tonite except maybe playing a better team and they still gotta point out of it. I pray for this league if the team gets 100% healthy. There's only one team with a chance to stop a healthy kings team and we all know who they are and they couldn't last year when it mattered. Take the point, get healthy and remind the league what it's up against.

Good call move on, the Kings got a point on the road. The game was lost in the first period just like Doughty said.

Move on to Pitt, hope some people get healthy.

I'll take it, the call was a definite **** up though. Was I pissed at the time? Yup, but it is what it is.
