I think the right call was made, goal seemed good to me, contact was minimal. Fairly even game, could have gone either way... Kings playing a man short on the road, missing Kopitar, Gaborik and Voynov... I'll take a point. On to the next game :)

I'll start to worry if the team is fully healthy and isn't putting up points. Until then, let's just hope everyone rests up and gets back out there sooner rather than later. The Kings have been fortunate to escape injury bugs the past three years.

Jonathan Quick got a 10-minute misconduct penalty at end of game. He smashed stick and tossed it in direction of official.

And yet Smith gets nothing for his antics after the Cryotes got beat in the WCF for swinging at Richards, and then skating at an official with stick raised in the air prepared to swing, I guess because the NHL can't take money from itself. :shakehead

That they have gone into June the last 3 years and played more games (both season and playoffs) than any other team is a concern when you figure in the lack of off time compounded x 3. With the amount of hits and physical style they play, that's a lot of wear and tear. You get the feeling that the injury bug will arrive this year. MG for one, is just a matter of when.

And I'm worried about the defense. They really miss Mitchell, he was very smart back there and had good outlet passes to get the puck out of harm's way. They are allowing too many SOG's and that has to be corrected . And hopefully Muzzin playing when he's not 100% won't cause whatever that is to relapse.

Regular season. We're talking bout regular season.

Really tho, Kings are keeping pace.

Bad call and missing four key components, I'll take the point.

Not only is he the best goalie in the league, but he also has the biggest heart. Anyone that calls him a hot head is just jealous their goalie doesn't show the same level of heart and intensity.

This.

Look at the GIF again and tell me that this man hasn't won two Stanley Cups in the past three seasons, along with a Conn Smythe trophy.

Do you think he is satisfied? My God, we are so lucky to have this hothead on our team!

That's a guy playing with all sorts of confidence. Like, he feels there's no way that's a goal if the shooter doesn't cheat. I love it.

I didn't get to see the game i was out of town at the time of it and i was looking thru the boxscore and noticed Clifford got over 16 mins in ice time My question to all that seen the game is Why the ice crease in ice time was it he was playing well ? or the injurys ? Also I read on waking up with the kings rosen said that it was among the best game ever for him ? is this accurate?

That goal was a Dustin Brown special. I honestly didn't think Schenn actually pushed him. Maybe he did but it is hard to tell from the video. It was a mistake that led to that opportunity. The Kings were lucky to have a tie in that game after the shelling in the first period. I thought they played well after the first.

I thought he played well but I think the TOI has more to do with only having 11 forwards so they had to spread the ice time around.

Thought that had a lot to do with it just he has so much more then andreoff and nolan. Also he wasn't that far off pearson and toffoli

Yup Clifford played fantastic but part of it was rolling essentially three lines so Andreoff and Nolan were the "4th" line that barely saw the ice. Clifford saw lots of time with Stoll and Williams and they were fantastic at possession all night long. They could not take the puck away from Clifford, who kept his feet moving and speed up all day long.

When you look at the goals from last night's game, there is no way that 1st one beats him if that shot doesn't get partially blocked. Quick is in the zone right now and tracking the puck extremely well.

I have mixed emotions reading this type of report. First off thanks for the response i very much appreciate it. As I've stated before and will again Clifford is one of my favorite kings. I love hearing he played well just sad i didn't to see him as my dad rehab appointments have me out of town on Tuesday /Thursday at east coast game times. I hope games like this helps to show that Clifford is more then just a typical 4th line player. I have made no secret I would rather see him on the 3rd line then King and by the sounds of this I have been proven right that he is capable,

I know it's beating a dead horse, but for those of you that think that Quick wasn't pushed, rewatch it and pay attention to Quick's body. Ask yourself if his body would have impacted the inside of the back of net the same way if there had been no contact. Clearly something accelerated his body backward.

Yes but king was on the first line and had the most ice time of any forward I think lol.

I know you love Clifford, we all do. He is all heart, but his hands are made of stone. Unless that changes, his ceiling is a really good 4th line player on a contender. I do hope he proves me wrong....
