I know Panarin has to score more, but like I don't know what fans watch when they put it all on him. His line was alright for most of the night. For some reason, Laf/Tro get to close together on rush attempts, happened a few times tonight.

The 3rd line was brutal in the first, they had a shift or two where they got it going but they were bad. That entire line doesnt want to shoot the puck, they're not setting each other up.

Maybe, it’s definitely possible, but I honestly wonder if we’re just playing like pure ass and making them look really good. Because… we’re playing like pure ass. And, as weird as it is to admit, Edmonton isn’t giving Dallas a series by luck… our former AHL coach has them playing some genuinely good hockey. They have a 99% PK through the entire playoffs and a 37% PP. That’s insane. Skinner has found a way to come up when needed, even if he’s shaky. Ekholm and Perry have been god sends for Edmonton. If we shit the bed in the ECF again I wouldn’t necessarily expect the SCF to look nearly as lopsided. We find a really extraordinary way of absolutely running out of gas around game 3 of the ECF when there’s really zero excuse for being this far behind in conditioning or ability to do simple things like adjust to a forecheck or break the f***ing puck out. We’re really good at just melting into disappointment when we’ve got everything in our favor.

Edmonton was making that turn around even if they kept Woodcroft. They were outplaying the f*** out of almost everyone and just losing games because pucks weren't going in for them and Skinner looks like he does at times.

Take your point, but the core issue, the #1 core issue with this franchise for the last 20 years, is bottom of the league cap management.

They can afford depth. They have to get smarter about acquiring it.

I’m far happier stepping away a bit. As someone that has experienced real, true mental health crises (including suicidal ideations), I sincerely suggest to anyone seemingly overly upset to step back.

I’ve dealt with a lot in the last 4 years. Watching a parent waste away in front of your eyes all while getting f***ed by opportunistic scumbags in my profession (literally taking advantage of my moms state in hospice and finally “shivving” me literally during her funeral - I’m not kidding on that; I was cut out literally while I was burying my mom).

So I decided to not let sports matter. Why bother getting upset? I’d rather get upset at individual losers who say dumb shit than something I have zero impact on.

It’s different for everyone. But take it from someone who is lucky to be around today that touching grass, logging off, and tuning out is worth it sometimes.

YMMV, friends. Love all (ok, well, most) of you. Been a fun ride this year and however it ends it ends.

I also don't think the coaching decisions have helped and this is honestly the first time I'm questioning them all year. Rempe hasn't been needed in 2 games. He kills the fourth line.

If we somehow find a way to win, I still think we beat whoever comes out of the West. But I'm not confident we win the next game, let alone the next two.

We have the right pieces, but we also have some very wrong pieces which really negates the good. Zibanejad hasn't been the same since the Burns brutal cross check. Fox hasn't been the same since the first knee injury and even worse since the second.

Panarin... abysmal. Trouba... abysmal. Gus... just slightly better but still awful.

If Panarin, Mika and Kreider were contributing and we had a replacement level player for Trouba... I think this is a different series. But they haven't and it's not.

Trouba, Mika and Panarin have lost this series for us, if we lose on Saturday. Kreider, despite his goal tonight is inching into that territory as well.

Still don't get why we gave Rempe a chance over Edstrom

Maybe for one f***ing game the guys on the team can play their hearts out for the goalie that's giving his all to keep the team in it while the team is outshot in the series by a near 50 shots.

I missed game three but game four was inexcusable but this game and game one were there for the taking and he shit the f***ing bed in both. I'm sorry the roster isn't as good as Florida's but if you can make circus saves all game you can make saves on routine shots.

Your mental health is far more valuable than a sports match. I stepped away from politics quite a bit over the last 7 months, for example. And everyone on here knows how insanely political I am.

I’ve made a conscious effort to get rid of the bad. I really couldn’t care less if they lose. It would suck, but it’s also life. Far more important things than wasting stress levels on this team.

He was great and the sportsnet broadcast was praising him all night, they see what they want to see.

we haven't seen that kind of possession from this team consistently enough. there's a few reasons for that. but the bottom line is the team isn't creating enough - especially not greasy type goals that are scored in postseason.

that said, rangers are a good team, and they can win game 6.

Goodrow is the only bottom six forward with more than 3 points. In 15 games. That combined with Trouba, Gus, Lindgren, and one-legged Fox is not going to play.

This is true but fixing the bottom 6 depth and revamping the D is definitely doable.
