I’ve largely held my tongue holding out hope for the kid, but either he’s lazy as f*** and doesn’t bother practicing on what he’s bad at OR he is just hopelessly mediocre (at best).

This comment has nothing to do with this game since I didn’t watch. It has to do with his entire playoffs and his whole career.

I meant bottom 6 forwards. Sorry. In no f***ing way in hell would anyone in their right mind consider Kakko a top 6 forward. 😂😂😂

I won't say it was close in the third I will freely admit that but pretty much this. He did the same shit against Tampa. Outmatched or not, it's getting old seeing him come up with a mariculous save and then not being able to rely on him to make a routine save. I just don't trust him on any shots because literally any of them can end up in the back of the net.

It's not the gameplan, it's the reality that your goalie has to steal you a game and allow 1 goal or less at some point past the 2nd round. It's simply factual. We're not built like Edmonton with 2 perennial 130+ point guys. Goalie has to shut the door.

ESPN is creaming over the "Igor hasn't allowed 3+ at home" stat. Literally the dumbest stat I've ever heard.

How many games in this series has Igor allowed less than 2 goals?

This. They need to find a way. Mika hits the net with his one timer once every 20 attempts. And bob has allowed ONE goal all year on one timers from that spot.

Does lavi have the balls to hurt mika’s feelings and do this though? Doubtful

Yeah I'm not going to get upset by this. Im going to rant on the boards, but Im not sitting here seething or anything.

Maybe, it’s definitely possible, but I honestly wonder if we’re just playing like pure ass and making them look really good. Because… we’re playing like pure ass. And, as weird as it is to admit, Edmonton isn’t giving Dallas a series by luck… our former AHL coach has them playing some genuinely good hockey. They have a 99% PK through the entire playoffs and a 37% PP. That’s insane. Skinner has found a way to come up when needed, even if he’s shaky. Ekholm and Perry have been god sends for Edmonton. If we shit the bed in the ECF again I wouldn’t necessarily expect the SCF to look nearly as lopsided. We find a really extraordinary way of absolutely running out of gas around game 3 of the ECF when there’s really zero excuse for being this far behind in conditioning or ability to do simple things like adjust to a forecheck or break the f***ing puck out. We’re really good at just melting into disappointment when we’ve got everything in our favor.

so you’re saying the rangers’ gameplan is to have igor steal all your games. I mean you just said the rangers’ offense isn’t good enough. that’s not good enough for the team

Does it really matter with the line numbering, as huerter would ask? He's a shell of what he was the first couple years here. He has zero battle to his game. Guys on the other side treat him like he's not even a participant in the game.

And please don't feel bad for someone who nonchalantly brushed off questions about the pass he made that effectively ended Game 4.

There's just so much incompetence. Not only are they not putting their best offensive player on the first unit, Laf's regular linemates are on PP1 and play for 1:30 every PP. So the lines are automatically jumbled after every PP.

we haven't seen that kind of possession from this team consistently enough. there's a few reasons for that. but the bottom line is the team isn't creating enough - especially not greasy type goals that are scored in postseason.

that said, rangers are a good team, and they can win game 6.

y'all acting like it's a complete meltdown to lose to florida - who is very good - are a joke.

Take your point, but the core issue, the #1 core issue with this franchise for the last 20 years, is bottom of the league cap management.
