We were literally outplayed grossly almost the entire time. The sky is falling because we have nothing to counter the Panthers. If it wasn't for Igor the series is already over. Not because Mika doesn't know how to dump a puck in.

Yeah this is not true. We played fine the first period last game. The problem is that for whatever reason the team has started to sit in Igor's lap and play passive for large stretches of the games going back to the latter part of the Carolina series. We know this team needs to skate to be effective. The puck watching and lack of puck support from not moving their feet drags them down to hell.

I’d be in on Tanev this offseason to take Troubas current minutes.

He can continue the tradition of getting comically bodied like Lindgren and returning shortly there after but he’s a great defender still and he doesn’t nuke transition.

Finding a LHD for Fox is harder but it can be done. Ottawa has a few that I’d call on.

Nah Jones is good enough to be a regular at this level.

Just not good enough to play high enough in the lineup and if you’re dressing 7 he’s going to get Nils Lundkvist minutes where it doesn’t matter whether or not he’s on the bench.

Game 1, they couldn't find the net, it happens. Games 3 and 4 we got outplayed significantly and got a split on the road.

It's 2-2 going back to MSG where we have been a better team than our opponent all playoffs outside of a game 5 dud against CAR. Maurice created matchup hell on home ice. Now it's our turn to do the same.

Easy for them to "correct it" when we sat on our lead and stopped skating. Also they needed that BS call on Lindy to get a PP goal and get back on track.

In games 1 and 2, we were actually hitting the Tkachuk line heavy with Fox, not Barkov.

We may have to make an adjustment there.

Moving forward the ultimate responsibility falls on the shoulders of Chris Drury and the conversations he will have with Peter Laviolette before game 5.
I believe Drury learned from last year’s playoffs where he allowed Gallant to keep the status quo which lead to the loss to devs in the opening round.
I will die on this hill that Edstrom needs to play.
Edstrom is fast, strong, loves to take the body, wins board battles, drives the middle and will stand in front of the blue paint.
Played on Hartford 1st PK.
Another poster pointed out that he hadn’t played since March 4th but that is only true for the big club. He was sent down and played meaningful minutes in Hartford.

Right now it's debatable For the future he is. One is 10 years youger than the other. For next year if Gus came back at let's say 2.5 million for 1-2 years great but I doubt he takes that.

yeah. we've played horrible games like this in the playoffs before and then won the series. very recently too. 2022 pittsburgh game 4, 2022 carolina game 5, 2024 carolina game 5. it's not over.
