I knew someone would mention about the one year deal. But in all honesty, I think Penner enjoys playing for Sutter, and he will continue with his good play.

I would offer Penner a multi year deal but I'm pretty sure I'd be in the minority.

He gets better as the games become tighter checking and more physical. He's certainly not playing the speed game, but with his size, when he wants to hit, he crushes...plus he's amazing at protection.

Question about the dying seconds of the 3rd. There was one play that should've been icing. Not sure who shot it, but a Kings player tried to score an empty-netter from our own zone but he missed wide. Can the ref just ignore the icing if the game is out-of-reach?

Definitely not but I think it hit the post, so it nullifies the icing

You have to wonder what the heck they're gonna do when both of them return. I mean, I can sort of see Ellerby being bumped out when Greene returns ... but what about when Mitchell returns ... if he returns.

Pretty solid D depth right now.

Doughty will eventually get a goal this season.

Good pull by Sutter, to replace JB. Great momentum shift.

Clifford and Fraser both had a fantastic game. Electrified the crowd in the 1st period.

Keep winning boys and keep on improving. What a great confidence booster. When we have 2 of our best Dman's potentially out for the season, Muzzin and Voynov were able to step up their games.

Sadly, I don't think it is looking good for Mitchell making it back this season.
Kind of a bummer for Ellerby when Greene comes back, he has learned quickly and played pretty well, but he's pretty much only here because Greene/Mitchell were both out.
