Good penalty killer too. I think he's a good 4th line option but over slotted on the 3rd.I think you’re being a little harsh. We need speed. He’s a responsible player with a lot of speed
If you think the improvement is only on the wins/loss column I have to disagree.
This years team is playing way better, much more complete and showing that they can be much better than their current record.
Ulmark finding his legs, Zubs return (getting Sanderson out of Hamonic purgatory) and Pinto's return giving us a legit third line threat have a huge potencial impact.
Coaching and system are night and day - and will likley only get better.
If fans can't find optimism with this team, they may be watching the wrong sport.

I didn’t watch the Kenzie broadcast on TSN5, as I saw the game was also on the 4K channel, so chose that.More props for Kenzie Lalonde . Leaf fans not able to get the Holy Mackinaw broadcast were not pleased. Bonus!
Add to that the lifeless Toronto crowd and I'd have to say that's one of the least intense NHL games I've ever seen.

Which was Gord Miller and Mike Johnson feed.
Holy Mackinaw is the radio.
That's regular leaf hockey, they need Matthews to play and show off who is best or fancier on that team. Princess team don't win hockey when it's though.Full credit to the Sens, but.... an unbelievably listless effort by the Leafs.
Looked like a team full of vets playing their final pre-season game.

I would like to try this when Perron is backI think it’s more likely that Greig moves back down, Perron takes his spot, and MacEwen/Gregor rotate based on matchup. I doubt Cousins comes out.
Giroux - Stützle - Batherson
Tkachuk - Norris - Perron
Greig - Pinto - Amadio
Gregor - Gaudette - Cousins
Although I’m sure someone else will get banged up making this moot.
TSN4 had the Leafs broadcast with Miller and Johnson; TSN5 had Kensey and NoodlesYou get the Sens broadcast in Toronto? It should just be TSN3 or one of the TSN channels? Whatever the regional Ontario one is. I don't really know the numbers.
the next 5 games will be a good testIt would be nice if they can bring that effort more often than not, because that is a scary team. Took away shooting lanes, blocked passes, attacked with speed, defended with speed. Got a Norris level performance from Sanderson and excellent support from the rest of the D. 5 of the top 6 forwards had points. All three Cs were involved. Ullmark was sharp as a tack.
Put this iteration of the Sens in my veins.
Awesome to see Sandy and Zub up there again. Another really solid 2 way game from the Sens.,.. they brought it every shift and gave the leafs very little time and space.
Gregor has been really good. Smart , fast , responsible.. I'd take him over Joseph any day. He knows his role and he executes it.I think you’re being a little harsh. We need speed. He’s a responsible player with a lot of speed
Win loses actually haven't really changed, but the play has. After 15 games @ 5v5:
Ottawa Team GP TOI Points Point % CF% SF% GF GA GF% xGF xGA xGF% SCF% HDCF% 2024-25 Ottawa Senators 15 714.55 16 0.533 53.35 55.84 2.44 2.52 49.15 2.47 2.16 53.32 51.1 48.622023-24 Ottawa Senators 15 690.05 16 0.533 47.73 49.3 3.39 3.13 52 2.44 2.88 45.89 45.15 43.92
Almost every underlying metric is better,
Maybe over slotted but he’s not bad on the third line. Especially when pinto is there. It’s a fine third lineGood penalty killer too. I think he's a good 4th line option but over slotted on the 3rd.
She is certainly competent. And I'd take her over Jim Hughson or a lot of those american pbp guys who scream things and yell "driiiiiiiive" every time someone shoots the puck. She did well, she knows hockey, her cadence is still a bit boxing match and not as relaxed as a hockey broadcast, next to noodles especially she seemed a bit staccato, but for her first broadcast it was good
