I find it funny how self-proclaimed pragmatic, business-first, no-BS Trumpers don't understand how money works.

You want to expand your fanbase and get more women and people of colour to watch the game and spend their money on tickets/merch/subscriptions - you hire women and people of colour, and you sponsor events that popularize the game for that demographic. There are more than enough deserving candidates.

If you don't like it, take your hurt snowflake feelings and shove it. That's just business, nothing personal.

And Kenzie was great.

I'm talking about losers like this top comment under yesterday's highlights

That’s what the geniuses at Budweiser thought when they tried to expand the consumer base for Bud Light.

It backfired spectacularly because they took their existing customers for granted. I don’t like Budweiser or Bud Light, but know your customers.

I think Kenzie did a great job, but it’s important that they select excellent women as the trail blazers.

In other fields and in other situations, they choose the wrong person and it sets the movement back. The crying about Leah Hextall wasn’t helped by her own performances.

Trudeau named an incompetent judge as the country’s first indigenous Supreme Court Justice and now her actual track record in that office is dismal. A number of her lower court decisions have been overturned due to her misunderstanding of basic law.

Better to be patient and do it right than go for representation for representation’s sake.

In this particular case, I’m glad it worked but it will take some people more time than others to get used to it.

You could here a pin drop in the ACC right now
Hear, Hear! :)
Chabot has looked good again tonight. He's taken a shit load of heat whether warranted or not and I am guilty of slamming the dude but can't help but be happy that his game has picked up considerably.
He has deserved the "shit load of heat" though. Needs to smarten up and learn how to play responsible physical D with reduced bone-headed plays.

I thought Kenzie was very good, and she’ll only get better.

I’d much rather listen to her than Dean Brown.
She was good. Only thing is it’s a downgrade on gord miller. But like you say it was her first so let’s not get too critical. Better than brown already though.
Tbh I don’t like the high pitched goal calls like the first one but again…game 1.

Interesting.. I heard today on a sports show that EK's cap hit for the next 2 years is still high (I think 12M a year) but the actual payroll dollars is quite a bit lower. I suspect that he will be moved because of that My thinking is he will be able to be moved because of this. He has been a disaster in Pitt but he may be an asset somewhere else.
Which team has $12M cap hit available for taking him on?

Carly Rae Jepsen is the real gem of that generation of entertainers.
Call me, maybe!

Same here. One of those rare movies that get better every watch. Candy is genuinely amazing in that role.
Absolutely!

Saw him in the Winnipeg Arena at a Jets-Kings game many years ago. He signed my son's ticket. He asked who should I sign it to? My son said "Me"! So "To Me" it became!

Brady said he wanted to be trusted defensively…….

I mean, I really like the dude but he’s just lost out there
Brady really needs some "coaching" on how to play strong defensively in the D zone without the puck (positioning, containment, blocking shots, breakouts, etc.)

I also like "What about Bob?" starring Steve Martin and Richard Dreyfus.

SP provides far more precise on point analysis than any of them... She is always in the technical zone. Doesn't seem to go for the schtick, less antics, contrived performance art.

I picked up on what Kenzie commented on, about how it was tough working with/for Cheryl but that sounded respectful, as in Cheryl demands quality. It wasn't a comment that she was mean or unprofessional. That speaks volume and confirms what I have suspected about SP for some time. Respect!
Interesting comment re: Kenzie's view of it is tough working with CP. I wonder what Kenzie finds to be "tough"? That is a "warning sign" to me about Kenzie.

No one told me Jensen would be a zone entry machine
Washington fans were saying he had slowed immensely and was not playing well. Could it be that we have been watching crappy D for so long that Jensen looks great? Nah. I like the way he plays.
