She is certainly competent. And I'd take her over Jim Hughson or a lot of those american pbp guys who scream things and yell "driiiiiiiive" every time someone shoots the puck.

The pitch of her voice throws me off, that just could be middle aged toxic masculinity influencing my opinion on that one.

She was good. It agree that it was novel and took some getting used to, but she was smooth and enthusiastic at the right times and her and Noodles worked well together.

It's important to have competent ladies making these milestones because you know there are people waiting to pounce.

Cheryl Pounder has done a lot for women in terms of game analysis, hopefully Kenzie can do the same for play by play.

The Leafs boards is calling her a DEI hire. On the day Ken Holland got named a "Hockey Operations Consultant" by the NHL.

I thought she was great, had zero issues adjusting to her compared to Miller.

Gregor has been really good. Smart , fast , responsible.. I'd take him over Joseph any day. He knows his role and he executes it.

He also actually hits people.

He's a bottom 6er on this team and he accepts where he is slotted.
Weird guy to take an issue with imo. Super cheap and has played really well. 3rd line or 4th line he's been the least of any issues. Love his energy and speed out there. He is a lot like Joseph with a little less handles, but with more feistiness imo. Our bottom 6 is much improved this year.

Cheaper; More consistent. Joseph could move up when he was here. Less so on this team and to me he was happy in the top 6 and on the PK other than that he didn't give it his all and didn't embrace a bottom 6 role. just my opinion

Ya, that's one thing that can separate them is Joseph was more able to move up and we saw both the best out of him in those times, but also a guy being miscast from where he should be imo, especially with his relatively low goal scoring output. Very happy with the change and Amadio has been trending up lately too. They both belong in the bottom 6 and seem to know that and just do their jobs.

Before the game Cheryl Pounder said the Leafs are more likely to win the Atlantic division than the Senators are to make the playoffs.

Now the question should be if the Leafs are as bad as they were last night are THEY going to make the playoffs.
Wasn’t that o dawg?

Part of it could be that it's also her first NHL game and she's a fan of one of the teams (our team).

I think over time you keep her with Jamie McLennan for a dozen or so games and she will settle into a rhythm and her voice will adjust as she keeps working on it and gets a comfort level calling the games.

But there's a lot of nostalgia in sports. Bob Cole was who I listened to the most growing up, he called many of our great playoff moments in the 2000s and it's hard to compare to that.

Her voice is nazzly, I noticed it too, but she can change that. Conan Obriens voice when he started on TV grated on me and he changed it

I did notice when she was saying player names it was quick and stacato, when she said Ekman-Larson she slowed down on the Larson and that’s her favorite tone and pace for me.

People keep saying offense this, offense that... but if Sanderson and Zub go back to being our best pair.... which they easily should.... and Ullmark plays like a top 5 goalie, which is what he is being paid to be and has the resume of for last 3-4 years, then everything else will sort itself out.

Not a coincident. If Sanderson's pairing plays consistently like last night (which they are very capable of) and Ullmark plays like last night consistently(which really wasn't anything too special for his capabilities) then we will have several shutouts this season and several games like last night.

I am sure her closed ones are really proud of her, her story is intriguing, not only as a very young female NHL play by play caller, but also Sens being ingrained in her. Yet, she was a sheer contrast to over enthusiastic Safe to Say Gordo.

You could see the hugs she was getting in the booth pre-game from Miller, Poulin, Noodles..they seemed like proud uncles cheering on their niece. She will only get better with time.

Well said. Gregor slots better as a 4th liner than Joseph but he can play 3rd on a pinch and not look out of place as has been the case since Perron left the team to take care of personal matters. He seems less risk prone than Joseph.

Thus far, Staios’ off season moves, most of them as we await to see how Perron fits, look to be solid. Ullmark is a homerun.

Stupid work calls me to work last night last minute so I couldn't watch it but bloody hell was that a fun tape to watch!

Literally no better joy than beating the Leafs especially lately with their expensive lovely core

you do not find it odd, that this came 1 week after the Trumpster got elected?????

This would have been planned and scheduled well in advance of the election. Probably shortly after TSN knew the schedule for this season, which was months ago.

Also Donny just named the first female Chief of Staff in US history, but no one is calling that a DEI hire (not that they should)..
