Yeah he'd probably be better on the fourth line in replacement of Cousins where his speed would complement Gaudette better.

I think it’s more likely that Greig moves back down, Perron takes his spot, and MacEwen/Gregor rotate based on matchup. I doubt Cousins comes out.

Giroux - Stützle - Batherson
Tkachuk - Norris - Perron
Greig - Pinto - Amadio
Gregor - Gaudette - Cousins

Although I’m sure someone else will get banged up making this moot.

Worst part of the game was in the third when Batherson was bringing the puck up the right side and TSN decided to block the bottom third of the screen with a massive FanDuel graphic. Can we get Mendes on the case of that stupid sized ad when the play was on?
They should only be allowed to slap that ad on AustOOOOn's face.

Did the boys continue their dominance in the second and third periods? I had to leave after the 1st. (I played ice hockey tonight.)

So many positives! 2 defensive pairs playing way up to potential, insane depth down the middle and all Cs having good games in all zones, full team effort, bottom 6 playing their roles. f*** yeah!

This was awesome to see. If they can consistently put this game together this team will be a force.

Second yes third sort of. Stopped being as aggressive in the third period and then the Leafs started to get more pressure in the last ten minutes or so.

Only one big chance for the Leafs point blank in the last minute of the second but Ullmark stepped up.

Good to hear. Happy for Ullmark getting the shutout...hopefully a big boost going forward.

It really is amazing to have two things in place this season:

1) 4 Top 4 D-men
2) An actual #1 goalie

It really shows. A guy like Jensen is night and day better than Chychrun was for us, and I don't get that same nervous twitch every time a weak floater gets lobbed at Ullmark, because I know he can save it!

Boys came out flying. Pretty sure shots were like 10-1 at one point. Almost perfect road game and seeing Jeff ONeil with a Sens jersey on made my night.

Great game, but they gotta clean up the penalties. Cousins is pretty useless out there too. Taking penalties in the offensive zone. Matthews in the lineup might have been the difference on those power plays.

They were 6-7 at this time last season, now they are 8-7 so an improvement! Seeing the glass half full
If you think the improvement is only on the wins/loss column I have to disagree.

This years team is playing way better, much more complete and showing that they can be much better than their current record.

Ulmark finding his legs, Zubs return (getting Sanderson out of Hamonic purgatory) and Pinto's return giving us a legit third line threat have a huge potencial impact.

Coaching and system are night and day - and will likley only get better.

If fans can't find optimism with this team, they may be watching the wrong sport.

It's really nice to see this team play strong through 3 periods. So often I look at 1 period and I'm like "this is the one they drop the ball". They held on to the lead and played together!! Keep this up!
