Can't use sv% in wildly different scoring environments to compare goalies. Look at Quality start % and RBS (Really bad Starts) as a better indicator;

View attachment 927118

So far, Ullmark is at .500 QS% and 2 RBS, not a good start to the year, but his history suggests he'll bounce back.
How many RBS is he on pace for?

Do we want the split to be 56/26?

So he's played 7 games...let's multiply it by 8

If he finishes there season with 56 gp, .500 opposition and 16 RBS would it not make sense to say you expected Anderson which was generally.500-.600 opposition and 5-7 RBS per year average after the full year.

Small samples with rare events are a bad combo, far too early to be prorating for Ullmark, for reference , his career high in RBS is 6, and career low (not including this season) for QS% is .513. my point was to show Anderson clearly had bad games whether you remember or not, and for that matter, bad seasons, while with us.

Yes, I didn't say he had none. I'm just saying his ratio was a lot better than the ratio were getting from ullmark to date.

But I've also said I'm patient with him because his past has given him the benefit of the doubt.

I'll revisit this around Christmas or the new year. See if he can rebound and post great numbers for stretches.

What i keep from this game? Brady annoys me.
It's easy to play against the Sens:
Big hit on Tim, Brady not happy, Brady wants to fight, Brady is out and the team is on PK. (So 0-1 few seconds later).
He is not helping the team at all and acting stupid + is really bad on D, the 2nd goal against is for him.
This is the captain.

Again, small samples. The ratio is meaningless when one bad game just doubled his numbers. I also don't think Forsberg will finish with a third of his games being shutouts.

Anderson definitely was known for having some stinkers, the 11 RBS he had in 18/19 lead the league, the 10 he had in 13/14 was 4th in the league.

To his credit, it was a garbage call that was not called correctly according to the rules, but I do agree he should have let it go regardless.

You go with Forsberg on Thursday
And he'll win because they're playing at home where they play better.

Ullmark has played 2 home games: won both (Florida, Blues). All of his other games were on the road. Almost all of Forsey's wins are at home with one road game win against Utah.

If Forsey wins tomorrow, it'll be tempting to put him in the Boston game but will they do that to Ullmark?

I think it's a given they go with Ulmark against the Bruins.

I understand he's the #1 guy but you go with the goalie that gives you the best chance to win and right now it's Forsberg. We don't have the luxury of being an elite team in a slump. We're trash so we need as many points as possible.

Ugh. I had kinda forgot about Boucher to be honest. A bagel on the scoresheet through 8 games is not promising.
The fact that 3 years later that he hasn't been able to crack the team speaks volumes. Reminds me of Matt Puempel who I was extremely high on. Took him 3 years and bounced back and forth in the AHL and NHL and ultimately never reached his potential sadly. Puempel at least put up decent numbers in the A. Boucher however is next level not good.

Fine, then go with Hasek who I also mentioned lol.

40 year old Hasek was better which is sad.

I remember bad goals on lalime. Don't really remember him getting blasted for 5-6 goals very often.

Ok, sure, the all time greatest goalie who finished the season 2nd oa in sv% had very few if any bad games while here that one season
