Zawaski said on his podcast that Stan and Colliton firings should be on the table. Said he thinks (his opinion, not reporting) that Stan’s seat is hotter than Colliton’s at the moment

So what could a different GM do? What are even the options? Trade T/K and commit to a full rebuild? Shuffle around our supporting players?

Coach change I understand coz their business is based purely on results but our roster is pretty unique, filled with franchise legends with huge cap hits. What are the alternatives another gm could do here?

idk what Stan could've done differently...nobody would've traded the players that have been the worst on the team so far this year and the players he brought in have been their most consistent performers...at some point the media needs to shift blame to the guys making all the money to play at a high level...firing bowman doesn't change the fact that Toews has 2 points in 11 games...

Question for those who want Bowman and Colliton fired. Who do you suggest the Hawks get to replace them both right now, at this point in the season?

Also, what the hell does Bowman have to do with the best players on this team playing like a bunch of house league kids? The players that Bowman has drafted and/or brought in via trade and free agency are thriving, and playing well, for the most part. The "stars" on this team, the veterans, are playing like shit. That's on Bowman? Gimme a f***ing break.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I heard Zawaski say that

Next 5:
Kings
Ducks
Sharks
Canucks
Pens

5-0 baby. Start a win streak with our 12th game Saturday. The lucky number boys!

Does the team we saw last night even want to start a win streak? Seemed like they couldn't care less about stringing together positive shifts, nonetheless multiple wins.

Yeah i think they would have to go on a historically bad run over these next few weeks to fire one of Colliton/Bowman

I think Toews will retire a hawk regardless of performance. :dunno:
I might just be soft but i can be pissed at him all night if he has a ****ty game, but the next day pretty much all i remember is what hes done for us in the past. Like a battered wife ill always come back lol.

He might, and I often hear people say that, but it doesn't make sense to me. Did Jordan retire a Bull? Did Babe Ruth retire a Yankee? Montana a 49er? Manning a Colt? Lebron has played for three teams. Messier three. Gretzky 4. Hawks brass should not feel required to hang on to an overpaid former star on the decline if there are potentially better options.

Yeah you have a good point. I do think it would have to be a really good deal for them to make it. Probably a long shot given his play recently.

I have zero interest in Babcock.

thank you!!

I've always thought a team that seems to miss/blow shot after shot after shot either simply has low talent forwards or serious confidence issues.

They got their azz whooped but the few chances they had to climb back they blew big time. I think Toews hitting a post was the closest they got.

That power play, especially with Cat, should be a saving grace no matter what.

I'm not going to pretend that one game is indicative of the rest of the season. That's a game you put in the rear view mirror and never look back. Just start with a win on Saturday and go from there. 11 games into the season I still have hope. We went through a big slump last year and were able to play well later on in the season. No way our top guys are going to underachieve this bad all year.
