Boldy passed the puck at the blue line and put himself offside by like a centimeter. What happened? 10 seconds before the goal, or something?
Disagree, this relates to inbounds vs out of bounds because of the line. Is very binary. In the same way that those penalties are not reviewable, there is a decent argument to be made about offside in hockey as well.

Possession directly relates to the goal. If it's illegal Possession, the goal is impossible. Just like scoring a TD is impossible if you stepped out of bounds on your way there 30 yards up field during the run on a kick return.
I can't even tell if it's offsides. Apparently these refs saw something. So, going frame by frame, it was offside? No complaints about the call, only about the process?
Plenty of complaints about the reversal. There was zero shot they got a "conclusive frame" that shows it. Puck was in the air, and it was extremely close. So, going frame by frame, it was offside? No complaints about the call, only about the process?
Perhaps you would like an automated system then?
I do think it's a bit BS that coaches can watch replays before challenging, but not sure how you would prevent that.
It was offsides, he passed the puck before crossing the blue line completely and then entered before it got past the blue line. Still BS.I can't even tell if it's offsides. Apparently these refs saw something.
The problem with automated systems, is surviving the physicality of the sport. Would likely require more electronics in the puck, electronics in skates etc to communicate with electronics under the ice.Perhaps you would like an automated system then?
It's easy. Just make a rule that the iPads on the benches, and the big scoreboard, are 15 second delayed, and don't allow challenges after 10 seconds.
The game isn't out of reachThe dreaded 2nd period for us, get thru the rest of the 2nd and come back ready for the 3rd.
