Aftering trailing their series with a 3-1 deficit, Parsons has won three straight to go forward and enter the next round of the OHL playoff.

Ridiculous how good this kid is in big games.

It is an uncanny knack he has. 1st and 3rd stars of game 5 and 7 also. Just like last year for London in the playoffs. London is a dangerous team as long as they have #1 in goal.

Guy is cool as a cucumber, it's probably his best trait as a goalie. It's also something you can't really teach.

This kid is amazing lol. Best quality is that he's clutch.

Great minds..

Tyler Parsons just had an unreal game against a much better Erie team.

London was outshot 46-12 and won 2-0 all thanks to the best Junior goalie in NA

There's not really a gap between Parsons/Hart. Moving on from that line of discussion Tyler Parsons is 100% ready to make the jump into the pros next year. He's my personal pick for OHL Goalie of the Year. Flames fans have a right to be really excited about him. The next step will be a big one, adapting to the pro game which is difficult for all ~20yo goalies to do. He should spend at least a month adapting in the ECHL where he can also work on that rebound control which is an issue. After that he can spend the rest of the season in the AHL to see if he can pull a Demko at the end of the season.

I don't think the Flames will rush Parsons so he should be ok.

Gillies is the more NHL-ready Flames goalie prospect. He had a decent year in the AHL - especially considering he missed all of last season. Gillies will likely get the majority of the AHL work next season and hopefully be ready for some kind of NHL duty soon. Parsons would take over after Gillies moves on.

Parsons has a special quality in him. I know London was stacked last year, but had Parsons not been so good in the playoffs. I am not sure London win the Memorial Cup last season. Same thing at the WJC. His game against the Swiss, and his play in the 3rd, OT and shootouts. I noticed it last year, and he has carried it to this year. He's a goalie to watch as the next star Goalie in the NHL IMO.

I see Gilles being the backup next year. Gotta keep the log jam moving.

Parsons should be splitting time in the AHL.

Only knock on him is he's on the shorter side at 6'1. But he can do it, plays a lot like fellow 6'er Jonathan Quick, with his strong pushoffs and compactness down low.

Do his terrible numbers to start the ECHL season change anyone's mind about his potential at the NHL level? I have seen a lot of lists that had him as one of the best goalies prospects. Some had him #1. Really bad GAA and Save %.

Just like Laurent Broissoit and Jon Gillies, Tyler Parsons will be another goalie prospect flames fans hype up but don't turn out to be anything special.
