Known this dude since he just a youngin in Port Alberni. Such an awesome guy from an awesome family. You Oiler fans are so lucky to have Laurent as a prospect. No doubt he'll be great for you.

Thanks for sharing that, it's always nice to know that some of the guys on your team are solid individuals.

Ya'll got a gem. I would love to see him developing in Vancouver but he has a ton of room to grow in the Oilers org, and I really hope he gets the chance to do so. We're all pretty proud of that 49 save performance.

4-2-1 so far this season with a 2.55 GAA and a .927 SV%, statisically averaging the most shots per game against (35) amongst goalies in the AHL.

Tough for me to catch any AHL games but can any Condor watchers provide insight on Brossoit's abilities, future, etc? He appears to be flying under the radar amongst goalie prospects.

.925-.930 is right around where you need to be in order to be a legit NHL prospect. If you are lower as a 2nd to 3rd year itll be tough (but not impossible), if you are over you are a pretty good prospect.

Hes not a blue chipper like Jets/Pens tandems, but hes just below that tier. If you look at previous and current goalie prospects, hes put up similar numbers (or is putting up) to Schnieder, Condon, Gibson, Mrazek, Hellberg, Allen. This doesnt mean hell turn out as such goalies, but in AHL hes been nearly as good

Probaly best Oiler goalie prospect theyve had in a while. This was a rare win for MacT

Was at the Oilers game last year for his start vs. San Jose. Oilers were utterly dominated in that game, and until Justin Schultz blew a tire to give Pavelski a breakaway from the blue line in, he was absolutely unbeatable. He displays solid fundamentals, but also great athleticism. Doesn't give up softies (which has been the achilles heal of our goaltending since Roloson left), and is the future in Edmonton. I think the Oilers keep the best one out of Talbot/Nilsson next year and bring Laurent up as a 1b. Looking forward to see the progress he makes this year.

That's nice, it was 1 game. Remember what Scrivens did?

I love how you say he doesn't let in softies because of 1 game. Logic.

Bakersfield Condors @Condors

22 saves and the 3rd shutout of the year for @LBrossoit in tonight's 3-0 win. #Condorstown :naughty:

Thanks for your absolutely useless input.

1 game in the NHL, and I know the WHL is no where near the caliber of the NHL, but he was a long term member of the Oil Kings so I have had many viewings of him and my assessment remains the same. Besides, in his 1 game in the NHL he did stand on his head, so give credit where credit is due.

Guy is also absolutely ripping it up in the AHL another shut out last night an now with a 0.933 save %. Not too shabby. He may end up stealing the starter job as soon as the end of this season. Time will tell.

Out of the goalies we have on the team and in the system...Talbot, Nilsson, Broissoit, and Scrivens. My money is on Broissoit to be the long term solution for this team.

Hey guys, do any of you think he could potentially be our number 1 guy we've been looking for? 6'3 and seems to be getting better as the season progresses.

He's definitely been impressive. I see him as a future 1B type goalie.

Never really know with goalies, but the potential is certainly there and he's been tracking well since being drafted. I'd like the Oilers to grab a real starting goal for a few years while they work him in as a back up and hopefully he can progress to be the starter in a few years

Got the stats to be a #1, but with goalies you never no. Could flame out, could be next Renne

Back when he played for the Oil Kings I always thought he had big game ability. so I think hes got a better chance than most to become a #1.

I honestly think that if Talbot/Nilsson gets hurt or Talbot can't pull his act together, Brossoit will get a few NHL games sooner rather than later. Utterly dominant at the AHL level and only 22.

One of the best goalies in the AHl, if not the best. Half the condors got called up the oilers and he's limiting teams to one goal. Condors should be the a much worse team
