Best college goalie I've seen play since Hellebuyck. Just an incredible couple of years for him. Buffalo should have it's answer in net for the long term with him. I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't pan out. Will be more a matter of whether he can stay healthy more than anything with the really athletic style he plays. He's been so fun to watch at Northeastern, excited to watch him the rest of his career

I remember watching Hellebuyck clap cheeks in the NCAA, easily the best college goalie I've ever seen up until Levi. Canada desperately needs a goalie to challenge for Vezinas and play for golds and cups in net, I think Levi is going to do that for years to come. Best Canadian goalie prospect since Price imo.

That's high praise.

Ya he's absolutely gross. I really hope he can buck the trend of goalies with his size/style and can stay healthy. He's very fun to watch

Just in case people don’t know his timeline…there is no scenario where he can become a free agent this summer. It’s either sign with Buffalo or go back to Northeastern for another wholly unnecessary season

The guy is from Montreal and was playing with Kent Hugues's son, right? But Buffalo desperately needs a true starter and could become a contender for years to come. Pretty sure he signs with them. Would be the wise choice for sure

I'm gonna guess that the negotiation would be whether Levi's ELC would kick in this year or next. I'm sure Buffalo would prefer to sign him to an AHL ATO for the remainder of the season and have the ELC start next season, but Levi might have some extra leverage now that they've dealt Erik Portillo.

Since Levi is a December 2001 birthday, he won't be considered 22* yet for ELC purposes and would have to sign a 3 year ELC if he turn pro now.

*Levi's college teammate Jayden Struble doesn't turn 22 until September 8, but would count as 22 if/when he signs and he'd get a 2 year ELC.

We as a Sabres fans are good with either of his decisions. AHL or NHL this year.
