one of the all time great college careers is officially over. Hell of a run. Welcome to Buffalo
Sorry Habs fans. There's still Perets though.

Any idea when the debut could be?
Their goalies are trash. They might as well see if he can get them in the playoffs. If he doesn't appear to be ready they can send him to Rochester.I think this refutes the "Rochester for 2 full years, then back up in 25/26" theories.

Yeah but the intention is clearly to give him a chance to fight for the NHL spot immediately, not in 2,5 years like some were guessing/suggesting/predicting after the signing.Their goalies are trash. You expect him to make the NHL debut and then get sent to the AHL for 2 years?Does it?

Ottawa did it with Daccord and the Habs did it with Lindgren. It's not unheard of, just doesn't happen a ton. But with more goalies coming out of the NCAA now than they were 20 years ago, we may see it become more common. Many teams already do it with forward or defensive prospects as an incentive to sign and burn their first ELC year. You expect him to make the NHL debut and then get sent to the AHL for 2 years?
.....yea that's not happening.Maybe they can package him with some prospects and picks for Gibson at the draft. That will give him an opportunity to battle it out with Dostal for a starting gig.
There is no chance of that. Buffalo was promoting Levi very heavily when they signed him. He had a press conference and everything. Makes no sense to trade him from a business perspective. From a hockey perspective, he’s one of the best college goalies to ever play and could be a legit #1 goalie in the NHL. He’s a bit on the small side but he’s shown no sign of it not translating yet.Maybe they can package him with some prospects and picks for Gibson at the draft. Best bet is that he plays substantially all of next year in the AHL. Or, at least, he should. The year after that is way too hard to predict. The fact that he gets NHL games this year doesn't mean anything about how the next 2 years unfold. You expect him to make the NHL debut and then get sent to the AHL for 2 years?
