Great game all around. The big 4 all played great, Jack was fantastic, Reilly looked like a captain on D and the rest of the D looked great as well.

shoutout to our 4th line. Love the dynamic they're bringing. Ritchie fits great there and Vegas looked straight up scared with Simmonds and him barring down on them... AND they have the skill to finish with Spezza who's always a threat. Thats a 4th line that would make Lou blush.

Weird. I thought the 4th line played terrible last night. Only thing I didn't like about the game.

Lmao.

Campbell gets a shutout and no star. 1st in leafs history.

Fred would get a first star after giving up 4 goals.
Shanny and Dubie paid them off so we can get a lower AAV on his next contract
KO SPORTS: Jack had 8 shutouts we are looking for 5mil/per
Dubas: Jack is a great player and a huge part of our room, but he was never a Molson Three Star in any of his 8 shutouts. The best we can do is 2.5mil/per

I missed the game but on the highlights it looked like 70% of the game was in the Vegas end.

Did the boys really actually play well? Or was Vegas trash? Or both?

Good performance against a team they should beat. I was afraid after they dominated the first but only had the one goal it might come back to haunt them like it almost did against Detroit. But they saw it through and Campbell happily got the shutout. Hopefully the big guns can keep firing now.

Woop dee doo. It was a great win for us. Why do you care about the opponents effort?
That’s exactly the type of game that give a false impression. Messing around with the puck in their own end, making bad decisions, only to be bailed out by the Vegas players doing the old fly by or being well out of position.

Nylander has replaced Hyman as the best forechecker on this team, which is wild considering where he was a few years ago.

He was the Leafs best player last night IMO.

Kerfoot-JT-Marner look absolutely dominant for 2 games now.

Matthews started warming up and Bunting is figuring out how to play with skilled players

Sandin-Lilly look really good and really comfortable together.

Campbell had a great game, but Vegas didnt dress too many offensive threats last night.

Dominated like they should against an AHL team. This was usually a guaranteed loss so this was a nice change.

Now onto some real teams. See how we do.

Missed half the game just caught up on the first half. Bunting could have had 4 goals. He's already on a ~50 point pace I don't see that dropping once Matthews-Nylander go on a consistent run of good play. 60 isn't even a stretch the way the the puck was bouncing in front of the net for him.

All for 950K.

Vegas was missing about a 1/3 of their regulars and looked like trash but we did give a consistently good effort for 60mins .

Jack Han notes Leafs made a couple adjustments for this game. After surprisingly going to a 1-2-2 forecheck to start the season that lead to disasterous results defensively, Keefe went back to what worked last year with the 1-3-1 forecheck. I'm not sure why Keefe changed something that was working last year, but good on him to go back to it now. It should stay now.

PP adjustment was the 1-4
