Vegas was missing about a 1/3 of their regulars and looked like trash but we did give a consistently good effort for 60mins .

The only thing I’m happy about is Mitch mariner is

Jack Han notes Leafs made a couple adjustments for this game. After surprisingly going to a 1-2-2 forecheck to start the season that lead to disasterous results defensively, Keefe went back to what worked last year with the 1-3-1 forecheck. I'm not sure why Keefe changed something that was working last year, but good on him to go back to it now. It should stay now.

and you being thrilled about us being just a game above .500 after a very very soft 10 game sked to open the season just means our expectations are vastly different

We played some top teams like San Jose, Detroit, Carolina, New York, Pittsburgh not sure where the soft schedule comment is coming from.

Unless you only want to judge our team after 10 games and not those team's records.

Carolina's a top team and we were outclassed

San Jose - isn't a good team and they were on the back half a b2b , 3rd game in 4 nights and they still beat us
Pitt - was missing all there top players and still blew us out
NY - they're also a mediocre team with a good goalies
Det - a top team ? lol

if you think our opening 10 games were tough then i guess you have us in the bottom third of the league where every opponent is a handful for our guys , lol

Ah, okay, so our record is important to point out about how bad our team is, but the record of other teams is not an indication if they are a good team or not, got it.

Also, you may want to look at Tampa's first game against Pittsburgh this year.

Check the standings when they played us, which is what matters.

I am not thrilled with the start, but it is 10 games, I am also not too worried.

This all started because you need to discredit wins. They played a complete 60 last night and you have to go "but" and then point out negatives.

Nope, not trying to discredit the San Jose loss, or the NYR one where we dominated.

The team has been inconsistent, and the record reflects that. They have had some really good games and some really bad games.

They played really well last game.

Yes we'll be one of the best teams in the league again this year.

I completely agree with you but that doesn't mean we should pick one guy out and constantly shit on him (not saying it's you doing this) .

Marner is not a perfect player and i'm not going to defend his last couple of post seasons but i will say breaking up the cap hit of one of the most productive players in the league into pieces is not the way to improve the team . Also if we trade him who'll create for JT , he's way to slow to drive a line so we weaken our team even more .

the most sure way to improve this team is to get JT to waive and try to find a home for him
