Post-Game Talk: Full 60 minute effort. Leafs win 4-0!

The Leafs played OK but you can’t take anything out of that game based on VGK’s non-existent effort.
They have no excuses if they don’t play well against Tampa after an easy practice like they had tonight.

He's not getting back in unless Dermott fails hard. Liljegren getting the zone and starting the play leading to Marners goal solidified his spot in the lineup. So much skill injected into the lineup with this move.

Pinch me

Our stars played like game changing stars

Our goaltender looked confident and nothing was going to beat him no matter how long we played

Everybody brought in defensively

Our vets on the backend are getting there feet underneath them and looking as solid as last season

The kids on the backend look fantastic, as good as anything we've seen since Rielly broke onto the team

Winning is fun :nod:

Great effort all around and kept the pressure on even with a healthy lead, injury-ravaged opponents or not. So I'll enjoy this one ...

However, one game does not mean "they've figured it out" so let's not get carried away.
Fool me once and all that.

I’m pretty sure he was talking to the commentator. Saying that he wouldn’t be able to keep up for 45 more minutes if the pace of play kept up. (I think it was 5-7 minutes without a whistle at that point)

OMEGA stats for the night.
Leafs is 3-1 when Amadio is on the ice.
Lehner is an ex Leaf that never seemed to do well against the Leafs.
Bunting got another point for his Calder race.
The Leafs is undefeated when Campbell has a shutout.
There is no Leafs with a - in their +/-.
Holl played well as he didn’t make any mistake on the ice tonight.

Great effort the whole way out. Loved how they came out in the 3rd not sitting on a 3 goal lead. Took the game by the short and curlies and finished it off. I really don't care if that was a depleted VGK. That win was massively impressive

They'll need that confidence booster going into these next 2 games!

shoutout to our 4th line. Love the dynamic they're bringing. Ritchie fits great there and Vegas looked straight up scared with Simmonds and him barring down on them... AND they have the skill to finish with Spezza who's always a threat. Thats a 4th line that would make Lou blush.

That was the most complete regular season effort I have seen in years, they beat the habs 6-0 during the lockout season that was the last time I saw a regular season effort as good as tonight was.

I viewed this 5 game homestead as huge test and so far they have passed it.

I would like to see Nick Ritchie do.....Well anything really but so far the rest of the team is contributing
