Yeah we went to 3 ECF's in 4 years and we blew it and then tanked the team while our rivals swallowed up all the Cups. Hop hop hooray!
I don't see why I have to be positive. We're in a **** situation.
How is getting a Top 20 center in the league without giving up your best prospects a loss here?
I’ve been saying this but Matt Beleskey can’t play on the fourth line? Seems like a natural fit for what we were looking for
ROR is debatably a Top 20 Center, yes
De Haan leaving will be a nice cherry on top. They like him
Lou is really good at having guys run for the exits when they get a chance. Always has been a problem for him
I agree. I think the board has a thing against ROR on the ice for ROR off it. Great on both sides of the puck. Gets a lot of points. Not a lot of help on his line too. Puts in a lot of work off the ice which goes a long way in the locker room. How is getting a Top 20 center in the league without giving up your best prospects a loss here?
Worst GM in the league for the last decade or so.
Perfectly happy with going for EK. He will still be valuable after next season when we are competing again, adding Seguin and/or Panarin to him. What is this about the Rangers interested in Karlsson? Do they really want to give him $12M a year? Gorton stay out of this...
Enough crazy deals today.
And @Rangers in 7Where’s @BBKers !? Fill us in with something sir
These deals are making the addition of Matt Beleskey in the Nash deal a little sweeter. His cap hit is actually a bargain compared to quite a few of these deals that have been handed out. If he can get back to even 10g and 10-15a that’s a bargain bin addition

His production in Hartford was fine. He’s faster than a lot of the 30-something bottom sixers this thread was clamoring for before they got their multi million dollar offers. He’ll be fine.I liked the enthusiasm Beleskey brought to the final game of our season against the Flyers but he looked slow and he's not been very good at the AHL level the last couple years either. I'm expecting Smith now to get a good look at camp and I think Quinn will be open minded about everyone. He says he believes even older players can get better. But Beleskey IMO is a long long long shot.
Looking at the forwards we have at the end of today. These are the guys who have realizable shots at making the team out of camp keeping in mind that Meskanen an Lindqvist are relatives unknowns at least by me:
F (11)--Zibanejad, Kreider, Hayes, Zuccarello, Namestnikov, Buchnevich, Chytil, Andersson, Fast, Spooner, Vesey
other F candidates--Holland, Howden, Nieves, Lettieri, Meskanan, Lindqvist
It's not a particularly strong group or a group that I think would be a particularly hard one to play against--and Gorton amongst others has said that he wants the team to be harder to play against. The toughest guy is Kreider and after that it's a big drop off. So in that respect Beleskey has some kind of shot.
You pay for elite talent. EK is as elite as it gets. That's insane money...must be that "difference maker" Dolan ordered
