No. Kerfoot’s bonus is paid today. No chance he would have been moved before that.

I was surprised he was 25 and Marchment was 27. Doesn't cost anything to give him a shot after strong season in Europe. We are not exactly deep on RW without Kase and Simmonds.

He liked a tweet comparing Hillary Clinton to Hitler and wrote a tribute to Rush Limbaugh is the stuff I could find. Basically a hard core conservative
I mean, delete this post if you want mods.

Have we been heavily tied to any UFAs? Are we the only team not tampering, or does our front office just keep their mouths shut?

Campbell to Edmonton.
Kuemper to Washington.
Giroux to Ottawa.
Gaudreau to Philly (and NYI to make an aggressive offer).
Etc.
No, management is pretty happy with the team staying pretty much status quo. The main exception is goaltending because they didn’t really have much choice because Jack Campbell wanted more than they were willing to give.

It’ll probably be dumpster diving pretty much like it was last free agency. I don’t see anything special happening, just a couple of fringe players, if anything, this team will probably regress compared to last season. Don’t really have any high expectations.

I doubt it's smokes and mirrors. It's almost a done deal according to many sources. Oil brass also loves ex Leafs so I don't see how this is not going to happen

Oilers still have some money left with Keith retiring and goaltending is their most pressing need

Jack also not going to get this type of offer from anyone else. This is by default best options for both parties

I know the Campbell deal is done deal.

That’s why I said “Campbell tampering smoke”

Just curious if the ZAR and Strome to Toronto are also done deals like that and Kuemper to WSH and Giroux to OTT, or if it’s just speculation

Aston-Reese, Strome and Gagner are the only names I've seen people hint at "Don't be surprised" or "look out for".

Hyman turned 25 that June. Please look at Hyman's career, now tell me Malgin can't develop past 25. Or maybe just don't compare him to 37 year old players as if that makes any sense.

He was a forgettable perimeter nobody when I saw him in a Leafs' sweater in NHL games with 186 games experience.

Malkin taking 6.4 x 4 makes that Tavares contract feel like an even bigger kick to the dick.
I don't think Tavares will demand 6.4 when he takes his second contract from us at 35 (33) years old.

*Actually he might but if he does that means things went well over the next 2 years for him here

People said that LAST year and it improved. It'll be hard to improve even more for sure, but the ENTIRE core is still here and the main reason we were as good as they were. I don't know how we can view this as an "opposite direction" feeling at all because we're losing Mikheyev and Campbell.

The Leafs might move Kerfoot and Holl because they want to shake up the secondary aspects of the team, which should be mostly just shuffling the deck chairs. They also have young players pushing for promotions, which could give them high value for cheap cap hits.

I think it's ok to question and have concerns. I agree to a certain degree. But I'd wait until the dust settles and make a little more judgments based on that.

The core is also the only thing they haven’t touched and the common denominator in all the playoff losses. It’s fair to say people are questioning the “big 4” strategy st this point because people don’t really care about a great regular season, it’s not a deep team.
