May be an alright target... but he's a right wing. I'd rather a left winger/center still. We have many C but good to have options.

I've been looking and rem pitlick may be an under rated target. At this point I don't see it happening but seems like he may just be blooming.

Be interested to see where he goes.

If we did trade Kerfoot and possibly Holl... they sign Sandin and Engvall and get Pitlick on the cheap.

Then let everyone battle it out come camp with the up and coming Marlies.

Getting that cap space with a 2nd would be big. I'm assuming Kerfoot here?

Anyway if so that's why I'd avoid a trade to a team that has a lot of cap space and trade him to a team with a need for that type of player and not just trying to hit the floor.

I think they could get a 2nd for him or a good prospect forsure.
 
Jankrok is the Kerfoot replacement for cheaper. Kerfoot I think is better but Jankrok fits better so it balances it out. Kerfoot could potentially bring you a cheaper undervalued middle 6 forward. If I have to make a guess, in terms of decent impact FA forwards we are likely done. A ZAR for the 4th line is still possible. You can't keep this roster cap complaint in any scenario. Engvall will get somewhere in the low to middle 2's. Sandin has gone insane if he thinks he's worth 2.6 right now. Dubas shouldn't even bother with him now. Stick the offer which looks to be 1.4. Sandin takes it or he doesn't. Put him on the side and focus on the rest of the roster. If someone offers you a decent deal for him, take it.

I really like the idea of Sandin for Hayton but I am still leaning on Sandin for Matt Roy. The Kings are in a cap crunch with <5M to sign Durzi and Anderson. This deal will clear them 1M+. Roy pairs with Rielly. His contract is up when Muzzin/Brodie come off the books so the Leafs will have money to keep him.

NJ is full of bottom 6 options and need an NHL 3RD. Holl for Bastian or McLeod would work for both teams. McLeod is a little iffy because of the 2018 WJC team so I would prefer Bastian - Bastian is also bigger and better but not a natural C. If the Leafs sign ZAR they run ZAR-Bastian-NAK as a perfect 4th line.

Kerfoot can be shipped out for picks. There might be a match with Winnipeg who appears to be missing a top 9 forward.
