Duchene or RNH....so basically we would be replacing Stepan for one guy that is -61 or another guy that wins only 40% of his face offs.

RNH I agree with you is not a solid option but Duchene gets killed here like he's some scrub. Stop it. His team and line mates are HORRENDOUS.
I keep hearing we need an elite center to win the Cup. Why bother with Duchene who is UFA in 2 years?
Schultz stayin in Pitts.. 3 years 5.5M per
I can't think of any other first line centers who are available. It's a thin market.
What analytics is Yzerman using?
Makes Smith and Shatty's deals look SO much better.

Many years of real hockey experience ?
He brings a lot of experience, yes. But honestly... If Redden gets an offer after being bought out, we shouldn't be surprised about Girardi getting one
Schultz signed for 5.5m AAV for 3 years.
I find it fascinating to see these short-term deals for D-men this year

Girardi brings plenty of leadership and experience but not worth $3M AAV.
I wish more GMs would hold firm on 3-5 year deals. I think its better for the fans and the NHL. These long deals followed by negative feelings and buyouts are not good for the game.
That smith deal just keeps getting better...
Radulov doesn't play center right?
