A guy I would not mind them attempting to bring back for the 4th line is Stalberg

Did hear on TSN though Ottawa wants him back

From that it sounds a little more like they want to address the 3/4 spots as opposed to bumping Hayes down, but I could be reading into it too much.

Could also be posturing. Claiming they need a 4 when they really need a 1? Why give another team you might trade with any more ammo?

It's been talked about already, but would RNH on the cheap be that bad of an option?

I don't think it'd be the worst option, that's for sure. However, I'm not so sure how cheap you could get him at this point. Plus, the team is in a harder spot when it comes to fitting him under the cap.

After dealing Eberle, they're pretty weak on the RW. The Rangers have Nash, Zucc, Buch, Miller, Grabner, and Fast all as guys who can play the RW.

Damn, you have to feel pretty good about the Smith deal after seeing what Alzner and Kulikov got.

Kulikov at nearly 4.5???? Is Winnipeg drunk?

I love how our D looks like but I'm a bit concerned about the C depth, especially considering that Mika use to get injured. Any options still available that could help us?
I only see the way to get us defensive 3C/4Cs. I personally like Desjardins a lot even though he has zero offense, or maybe trading for Kruger that should be super cheap. But I don't see the way how we could get an offensive guy that could sneak into the top 6 if we have injuries, all are gone in the FA and better not to spend the assets we have right now IMO.

I could see him doing 7Mx5Y.

With what cap space? Going to have to use the Nash money next summer with Skjei and friends up. Getting a two year rental like Duchene gives you another 6m off the books that summer. It's weaponizing the cap with good asset management.
