Norris would be going back I assumeI really don’t understand how they could possibly make the cap work with Trouba even if he did want to come here.
Is Pinto an important piece? At this point in his career I'd say there's been a lot more sizzle than there's been steak.
I have no idea what he is as an NHL player. Outside of a 20 game run centering Tkachuk last season he's never been very productive. Defensive results have been adequate. He's soft. Doesn't seem to handle the puck or distribute it the way you'd hope a top-6 center would. Impressive physical profile though.
He couldn't fill in for Norris right now even if we needed him to - he's just not playing well enough.
I would think Pinto is a prime candidate to be moved.
So we now have only 3 people scoring goals and another bad dman?Norris would be going back I assume
Not what I want to happen - just what I think the most likely scenario would be given the info from the media. So we now have only 3 people scoring goals and another bad dman?
Sounds like a winning recipe.
Norris would be going back I assume
Can we do zub for trouba with retention?
It came from Seravelli too. And it’s always followed by “other teams want Greig or Pinto but the Sens don’t want to do that”… listen I understand the contract situation at all, but I can’t fathom how anyone thinks that makes an ounce of sense while the team is in the midst of trying to push for the playoffs. The Norris smoke is all coming from Garrioch… so let’s be real… I don’t believe there’s much there. Especially with how Pinto and Greig playing the way they are.
Do I think Staios has talked about Trouba? Of course. We have a big need for a RD, and he’s one of the few available.
Do I think, considering NTC, contracts, etc that it’s happen? I’d be shocked.

Like the Sens can’t actually be thinking let’s trade the best of the three, that will help turn this thing around.
We have a big temporary need at RD until Zub is back, then a minor need for a 3rd pair RD.The Norris smoke is all coming from Garrioch… so let’s be real… I don’t believe there’s much there. Especially with Pinto and Greig playing the way they are.

Columbus and Buffalo are much more realistic.
Why on earth would we want to do that? Zub is better. Can we do zub for trouba with retention?
Not on a good team.I would be happy to get Trouba. He's a top 4 defenseman and a big physical presence. His hits can really get a crowd into a game, which is something this sleepy team needs at times.
I highly doubt Norris would be involved. If anything it would be a 3 team trade with a team like Columbus retaining 50% and getting some draft picks for it.

Trouba really doesn't make any sense at all at his cap hit, we couldn't trade Greig or Pinto for him if we wanted to, so the only other option is Norris, or Zub with retention. Neither of those deals make a lot of sense, and I can't imagine Staios, I guy who is patient to a fault, just jumping in with that deal.
Maaaaybe if it was a way to pry something more valuable out, kind of like how we took Zaitsev to get Brown. But I am not seeing how or what we could make work.

Larry Brooks says Brady Tkachuk has become the Rangers’ primary target as they look to overhaul their team.
Look for us to pick up any number of expensive, old, declining assets in return.
