Im not opposed to Miller, I just dont know how well he'd do against the QOC he'd be going up against. It would be an upgrade on Hainsey though.
You could do a Muzzin Zaitsev tough matchup pairing and a Rielly Miller offensive pairing

If you could get Miller for Borgman and Brown, that would be some work well done.I mainly do these for ****s and giggles, but here's a lineup.
I think each trade is fairly realistic, with maybe the exception of the SJS deal. We are essentially giving them Kapanen, and taking Dell for them to take Marleau, and giving them Kaskisuo for a 5th.
So whether that is too much but at the very least it's in their favor. With the rumors that NYR and TBL are front runners for Karlsson, it's possible he's not back, so this can be a good use of their extra space, to get an asset like Kapanen, for essentially nothing.
Spooner we can buy out, for 1.3M on the cap for this season and next, or we can just keep/bury him for the season.
Leafs and Columbus blockbuster
Nylander + Kadri + Borgman + 4th (2019) + 7th (2020)
for
Savard, Jenner, and Josh Anderson.
Why each team does this.
Columbus: They have a young top-4 D core all 25 or younger (Jones, Werenski, Murray, Nuutivaara), so Savard is somewhat expendible as he wouldn't match the time frame of their rebuild. They upgrade to a true #2C in Kadri to give protection/mentoring to Dubois, and slot ahead of Wenneberg, and they get a 2 years younger, more talented RW/C to replace the outgoing Anderson - plus 2 draft picks to replenish the ones traded away and a bottom pairing capable D-man with size and skill.
Leafs: Acquire a top-4 RD who is mobile, blocks shots, hits, and plays the PK. Get a younger true #3C with size who can PK and play the shutdown role, and a big RW with nasty in him who potted 27 goals. All of these players offer a more physical brand of hockey, and the Leafs address a lot of the size concerns.
Congrats on being the fastest poster to make my ignore listNa this is the best trade on here you guys act like its NHL 19 and spout out stupid trades that do not make sense for both teams. Hall is making 6 million this year, would give us lots of money to sign Kap AJ. Every trade I see you idiots post its like why would the other team do it. This one makes sense for both teams NJD have the money to sign Marner and it gives Hughes someone to play with. Next year with Hall and Marleus money coming off the books we can sign Hall. And Severson would be huge on our right side. Obviously sign Marner if we can but if its true and he turned down 8 x 9million already than I think we need to move on. I say trade Marner now at his highest value and maximize the return instead of trading Nylander at his lowest value.
People’s responses to this are hilarious. No way CBJ does this deal, Josh Anderson is the best player in it and plays a hard nosed game built for the playoffs. Borgman and those other assets have 0 value..

Um... Have you actually seen Josh Anderson play? If you have then there is no way you could possibly believe this lolPeople’s responses to this are hilarious. WILL THE FLYERS TARGET KADRI?
PHILLY.COM: Sam Carchidi feels the Philadelphia Flyers could attempt to bolster their center depth via trade or free agency this summer. Potential free-agent options could include Columbus’ Matt Duchene or Winnipeg’s Kevin Hayes. Carchidi proposes pursuing Toronto Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri.
Despite the decline in Kadri’s production last season and his undisciplined postseason play, Carchidi feels he’d be a good second-line addition for the Flyers. He also notes the center has three years left on his contract with an affordable $4.5 million AAV.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Leafs could be forced to shed Kadri’s salary to free up payroll to re-sign Marner. They won’t want to take back much salary. If the Flyers are interested, a decent draft pick and either a good prospect or promising young player might be enough to get him. Kadri would cost a lot less salary-wise than Duchene or Hayes.
I might see what Charlie Coyle wants this summer. Excellent bottom 6 forward who grinds.
nylander s stock has risen considerably in the world championshipJosh Andersen isnt even close to Nylander in terms of talent but his power game is impressive. No way in hell Dubas would ever do that trade so we are lucky this isnt a Brian Burke run organization.

I don't think Kadri goes anywhere, but I'd be interested in Myers and Vorobyov from them.
Edit... Laughton wouldn't be a bad pickup, for a cheaper third line C either.... Laughton + Myers... though I have a feeling we might need to provide a small add.

Agreed. I would hope we could go get a Nick Ritchie from Anaheim in a modest hockey deal at some point. They would ideally want a skill forward we have in excess and we get a more specialized player.
Also wonder if we will be able to grab a first round pick this summer. Would be nice to see if we can draft a good center prospect or goalie Spencer Knight to refresh the depth chart.
I could see us trading one of Johnsson, Kapanen, or Kadri for a 1st this summer. I can't see us using a top 60 pick on a goalie but definitely on a center.
The goalie would be a huge gamble but if we could pivot in Knight for Andersen in a couple of years that would be a massive cap play when we need it most.
But a center would be so crucial. Would be great if we had a big center with upside who could evolve into a Couturier over time. Get that heavy duty war center who can start taking minutes from Tavares in 4-5 years.
We're kind of in the off-season now so I guess no harm.
What kind of contract would you give Jake Muzzin if we were to keep him around?
