Is Klingberg healthy? I thought the broadcast said he was injured.

I was looking to see how Klingberg was doing and didn't see any stat line on playoff production. I read he was injured on CBSsports:

In game 3, Klingberg debuted the playoffs with 2 assists and a +3 rating. Not bad.

Watching ZAR for the leafs makes me believe that the ducks should give Comtois another year.

Dude looks like a completely different player under the right system. Maybe a new coach gets a more physical game out of Comtois?

Sami Vatanen and Daniel Winnik just won the championship in the Swiss league with Geneve-Servette. Vatanen actually scored two goals in game seven and Winnik got an assist. Vatanen has been successful in the league since entering last season. He is over PPG in regular season (though only played 13 games this season) and just had 13 points in 17 playoff games. The last year and two months have been very good for him. Winning olympic gold and world championships and now NL championship.

I remember back in the day on the official Anaheim Ducks forum reading the Sami Vatanen prospect update thread about his success in Finland. I was so hyped. Imagine if he had Zellwegers skating ?
Vatanen was fearless and played bigger than his 5'9 body while some other guys are at 6'1 to 6'5 and are gentle giants lol.

Good to hear they're doing well. Always liked both players.

Ah, Daniel Winnik. I always remembered he would start out on fire during the first month of the season, and then he would disappear.

Sami.. Still have a soft spot for the guy. Although small, he was a warrior (who apparently gave the best chirps). Always loved his tenacity over someone like Fowler.

Parros continues to be a joke. You couldn't find a more simple formula for a suspendable hit and this complete oaf doesn't see it. Approached looking straight at Cogs numbers, drove him headfirst into the boards and broke his f***ing neck. Are you kidding me?

Cogs should be suing Parros and the league, the damage inflicted upon his career and livelihood by that idiot are just unacceptable.

Definitely weird to have a former enforcer as the discipline czar. should be a skilled guy, if only for optics. even a skilled tough guy would be a lot better

I am not going to defend any decision taken by Parros. I have certainly criticized some of his past decisions, but I did not see this play. I will say that he is college educated, has played the game, and at least when I met him he was well spoken. I have criticized him in the past, but what I don't know is the direction that he is given by the league, particularly in the playoffs where a lot more physical contact seems to be tolerated or even encouraged by the league.

As for Cogs, if he has any fracture in the neck area he ought to not play until he is fully healed, not "be a man" and head back out to the ice. As a person he has responsibility for his own health, and neck injuries are particularly tricky. No game is worth potential permanent paralysis.
