Thick Nick finally figured out that he wasn't good enough to not give a shit while still playing in the NHL.Nick Ritchie is killin it too lol
"Hard to play with"
Last night wasn't really even a great game overall for the Bruins and yet they still eked it out. They should be going pretty far in the playoffs...barring one of those freak injuries Lindholm seems to get shortly after hot streaks.Lindholm another gem 1 assist +3, McAvoy is back gonna be interesting to see how they look.
1 goal in 131 career gamesMan that name is sure a blast from the past. He and Brett Festerling. Mikkelson was a pretty high pick for a guy with literally no scoring touch in juniors. For a guy that could move decently well, he was absolutely atrocious offensively. you'd think just by virtue of his skating he would've 'collected' some points but not really. goes to show how tough this league really is.

no idea why the ducks took him 31st overall other than to fill the need for a power forward? his numbers in juniors weren't great at all
Long time ago i read that Nik Lidstrom though very highly of Hampus Lindholm of him having alot of potential, now he's living up to that potential Lidstrom saw in him. Maybe if the Ducks let him develop his offense more we'd have seen him break out in 2016-2017 season because he already was playing the tough match ups in 2015-16 when he was paired with Beauch for the whole season. Then they let Beauch go because he blew a playoff game and then came the Lindholm/Manson pairing.14 pts in 14 games for Hampus.
It hurts because he is showing the ability that a lot of us believed in him all along... He is finally with a coach & team that believe in him and they are putting him in a position to flourish.
He was a defenseman, but yes he did score a goal in the NHL.Mikkelson was a d-man and he never scored a goal in the NHL. You must be thinking of someone else.
Poor Tarkki.Apropos of nothing, I was looking at the 2011-2012 roster and the following players appeared for Anaheim and then never played another minute of NHL hockey again:
Mark Bell (5 games)
Jason Blake (38 games)
Jeff deslauries (7 games)
Nick hagman (63 games)
J.F. Jacques (6 games)
Max Macenauer (29 games)
Ben Maxwell (6 games)
Ryan O'Marra (2 games)
Rod Pelley (29 games)
Iiro Tarkki (1 game)
I think it might be the most random set of roster names this franchise has ever seen in one season.
Blake had some decent chemistry with Teemu and Saku that yr, until a skate cut his wrist. shameApropos of nothing, I was looking at the 2011-2012 roster and the following players appeared for Anaheim and then never played another minute of NHL hockey again:

Would be crazy if he got 60 points. The Bruins have some good forwards but it isn’t a better group than we had when we were good. I’m starting to wonder if various coaching regimes just weren’t able to unlock his offense which may have been there all along14 pts in 14 games for Hampus.

my favorite part of 11-12 was hoping they'd sign someone with the last name smith to play on the same line as pelley and smith-pellyApropos of nothing, I was looking at the 2011-2012 roster and the following players appeared for Anaheim and then never played another minute of NHL hockey again:

I couldn't remember if that was Tarkki or Timo Pielmeier. I remember having hope for both and watched both get thrown to the wolves.Poor Tarkki.
I remember people saying tarkki had potential and in that the game he appeared in he was thrown to the wolves in a game they were losing badly in a year that was horrible for the Ducks.
That appeared to destroy any confidence he had.
