I get it, I just don't know if RB was an area they needed to address at that point.

Value pick. He's got MUCH better hands than Carter, and is better at breaking plays. That pick screams "Saleh guy."

I was bummed to see McBride taken. I was hoping to snag him. We need another red zone guy IMO. Still want a linebacker, an OT, and a PK too.

As a Jets fan, I was hoping McBride would fall to our 3rd round pick, but I guess you can't be too greedy lol. Jets have killed it this draft so far.

Would like a safety or ILB for the Jets at 101, think they had Kerby Joseph at the Senior Bowl.

Chenal or Dean for ILB

Can never go wrong with drafting in the trenches and adding more cornerbacks.

I trust the greatest coach the Jets have ever had in Ron Middleton, they also had Ruckert at the Senior Bowl.

Two picks left for the Jets. If he's still there, I go Perrion Winfrey (DT) at 111 just on pure value. If he works out, it gives us some financial flexibility if Sheldon Rankins prices himself too high next summer.

At 117, if they want to go the traditional route, I'd pick OLB JoJo Dormann. Kid's going to be a special teams beast. If they want to go a bit outside the box? I'd pick Cade York, the kicker out of LSU. They NEED to lock down the kicker carousel. It's been a mess for years now.

I wonder what they'll do with Mims. It seems unlikely that he'll have a real shot at a roster spot. And between Davis and Moore being healthy, bringing back Berrios, drafting Wilson, and importing THREE pass-catching tight ends and an RB who can catch the ball, targets are going to be hard to come by for Mims even if he does get on the field.

The Jets got their guy at #36.

Teams don't have that bell cow running back who receive all of the touches anymore. Those guys are becoming fewer and fewer every year. Carter Jr. is a good player. Hall will help the Jets.

CMC is a great player but he is hurt every season. Henry, Cook and Barkley were hurt this season.

The Giants sure do love reaching in the 2nd round for guys that will be available in the 7th round. No idea why a team with 5 legit NFL players and 48 guys unworthy of the CFL feels the need to reach when there are actual NFL players on the board.

Giants fans sure do love complaining about players they’ve never heard of before they were drafted.

Nobody hates the Giants more than Giants fans. It’s an exercise in masochism.
Go back and read the reactions to 4th round draft picks on this board during the NHL draft and you’ll find Rangers fans suffer from the same mentality.

Ravens got a good one in T. Jones at 76th overall. I like their draft thus far. Six 4th round picks.

In my anecdotal experience, the pattern is Jets/Mets/Islanders and Giants/Yankees/Rangers. This Jets/Rangers combination is weird and it's bugging me out that it seems to be so popular on here.

I feel like that was probably true in the 80s, I doubt it's still the case.

Giants first two picks were a dream come true. Unreal how long the team has gone without a serious pass rush (or O-line). I believe Patrick Graham's defenses were robbed by the lack of a legitimate edge rusher. What the hell happened with Markus Golden?

Then Schoen starts trading back and ya gotta love it even more. Guys sliding we didn't expect to be available... but he drafts a Toney/Shephard hybrid small WR. huh. well... I guess the big, star WR is theoretically already on the roster. The deep threat is too, in Slayton. Ideally, they've also got a fully healthy, dual-threat, every-down RB on a prove-it year with Saquon. They brought in the Chiefs QB coach to be OC and the Bills OC to be HC. Makes me hopeful for some ingenuity coming to the Giants offense. Let Saquon, Kadarius, and Wan'dale go wild with motion and running/catching out of the backfield and combined with Jones' ability to run?

I'm guessing we'll see some combo of RB/TE/?? - maybe another CB, in round 4 for the Gmen.\

PS. If I were a Jets fan I'd be over the moon.

Above post 714 notwthstanding, we nevertheless gotta try to upgrade OL for Wilson. Becton stays.

W/JJ added, + the guy who was a top 2-3 pick recently for SF is in Jets camp, I would do
to Chargers Williams + Williams/+
for
to Jets Slater +

===============================================

other thing is DET really wants needs QB Mallik Willis.
Jets have 38
38 for overpay
or pref
38++++ for Sewell

OMG, you do it for the Jets too...

A lot of people I see "pissed" at some of the Giants 2nd-4th round picks can't really make any justification why. Even if Mel Kiper or some draft guide ranks them lower. It's the same thing we see with the NHL Draft. Unless you're like @Steve Kournianos or @Amazing Kreiderman and spend hours watching prospects, a YouTube comp doesn't tell the entire story.

If you're building for a system like Schoen and Dabboll are, cool. You need to mess up 2-3 drafts badly before fans can start second guessing 5th rounders who were screaming to be taken because of a hipster analytics person on Twitter. Gettleman stunk so it was justified. The guys from Buffalo who run this team now are just starting.

Yeah I get the whole Queens/LI being Mets/Jets/Islanders/Nets and Manhattan/Bronx being Yankees/Giants/Rangers/Knicks thing with the other boroughs spilt but people forget the Dodgers and Giants cause a lot of Giants/Rangers/Knicks fans to also root for the NL team and with the internet and NY not being so ethnically/neighborhood segregated as it was 40-50 years ago, that whole trope is out the window. Plus NFL fandom is all over the place.

We forget the dodgers and Giants because they moved out over 60 years ago. No one cares about them in queens except for the wilpons. Mets and Jets played in the same stadium until the 80s. Islanders have nothing to do with anything.
