Especially considering he only has one year left after this one its not the end of the world

He's a player that for 1.7-2.3 mil on the 3rd/4th line would be a solid player. Not unlike prime Ruslan Fedotenko (In terms of contribution, not attributes)

I love how so many people are just desperate for trades. It's such a typical human response.

It was like when John Tavares took more than a day to sign his new contract. People thought he was some horrible human being and purposefully screwing over the fans and the team because he took a few extra days to make a decision that would completely alter the course of his life.

There's a reason the saying exists 'patience is a virtue.' Rushing into things, whether in life, or in hockey, is almost never a good thing. If the right deal isn't there, why should Gorton make the trade now instead of 2 weeks from now?

For the most part, since he gained complete control of the team (I still blame Sather for Eric Staal and the moves from that year) his trades have at worst been even for us and in some cases he has truly gotten returns that I see as strongly in our favor.

Again with the “backup-goalie-having-a-career-night-at-MSG” narrative lol

They lost in the most Rangers way possible. Against a backup goalie, they go with 7D, and one of our forwards leaves the game in the 1st period with an injury, leaving us with 10 forwards. With a minute to go, we pull the goalie and have Brendan Smith and Boo Nieves out there as forwards.

Classic Rongos

Namestnikov is pure trash I have no idea why so many of you like him. He’s Jesper Fast at 4 million a year. Brutal

Could not agree more. He’s absolutely one of the most useless players on a roster filled with useless players! This is just further proof that the Miller and Mcd trade to Tampa will go down as one of the absolute worst trades in franchise history. The Rangers had Tampa in a position where they knew Tampa wanted to acquire real talent for the stretch run and they totally settled for second rate talent.

there isn't a doubt in my mind we're drafting 10th ov.
In fact, we'll lose to Jersey on Thursday before beating Tampa in OT.

Namestnikov is just a filler for this year and next. He will be gone at TDL next season for a 3. and a B prospect.
Same with Strome.

Whats more shocking is not 1 team in the league wanted to give up more.

Between the god awful treasure trove we gave up for Msl and the pitiful haul we got for Miller and nearly all star mcd, Tb has swirlied our management in our own toilet.

At least with the latter trade I can kinda be ok knowing that its partly the fault of the abject f***ing mongoloid idiots who GM in this league and can't win a f***ing thing outside of la, Pitts and chi

We bitch about tanking here all the time as the ONLY reason we didn't win and the ONLY reason those teams did but if you ask me the parity in the top 8 of the league is f***ing atrocious bc management and coaching across the board is a f***ing trash fire. These GM's cant win a goddamn thing in this league but they sit on their hands every deadline, every offseason.

You get teams like Montreal, edm and the isles legitimately being run worse than if a knowledgeable fan had taken over for years with nothing being done about it.

Dont get me started on coaching. Any asshole can chew gum, spit out a lineup card and coast on the talent the team happens to have.

It's the same in the nfl. Coaching us the worst it's ever been in sports. Same with reffing. Adjustments? Strategy? Taking advantage of your teams strengths and hiding weaknesses? Putting your players in a position to succeed? Wtf is that unicorn fairy tale bullshit?

Anyway back to gifting Miller for a net negative.

We failed to get any top prospect with elite potential...f*** idk that howden or hajek even have top line/pair potential.

I like them as ancillary pieces in a major trade...but to not get prospects with more?

At least we used our picks wisely

I'd love to know what we balked at when trying to trade up for Petersson. Good call on that one assholes. I'm just bitter and cranky right now. I'm actually overall pleased w the direction were heading

Let's not pretend we lost a great player in JT Miller. We dodged a bullet there. 6m a year for a guy that causes problems in the locker room and doesn't carry his line at all. Yeah, no thanks

Keep Hayes. I doubt they get back what he is worth.

Buchnevich is good as gone.

Shattenkirk is once again Shattenkirk.

Kreider has stopped disappearing.

Side note: Bobby Orr's legs looked physically different than any other player. Dahlin's legs bend at that same unique angle.
