I don't know why so many people are happy about this result.

Doesn't everybody realize that a Leafs loss isn't just bad for the Leafs and their fans? The Leafs losing in the playoffs is bad for the League. It's bad for the League's TV partners. The Leafs losing is not just bad for the Leafs, their fans, the League, and the League's TV partners. It's bad for the sport of hockey. It's bad for sports. All sports.
"We just matter more than you" is more than a little tone-deaf when a team that is normally referred to as irrelevant and meaningless just kicked y'all's collective asses. If y'all actually mattered, it'd show on the ice.

Can we stop to celebrate that not only did Toronto lose again, but the Florida draft pick that Habs fans thought would be a lottery pick is now pick #29-32? It's rare that the Habs and Leafs BOTH lose so badly at the same time, but I'm here for it.

Tavares, Matthews, Marner = a shocking waste of $30+ million dollars. They deserve to shoulder this blame from their ghostly performance.

Not a single solitary habs fan is upset over this fwiw

We lost 10 spots in the draft while our biggest rival ended their best shot at a cup in 30 years with 1 single series win lol

The decision was made because Murray was injured and only recently cleared to play and hasn't played a game in months (longer than Woll).

Unfortunate situation all around.

Right, so a decision was made, the Leafs weren't forced to play their AHL goaltender. They chose to. And he wasn't the reason why the team couldn't score more than two goals a game so I don't even know why you're bring up a goaltender disparity as if the Leafs only lost because they were "forced" to play an AHL goaltender. They lost because they couldn't score all series.

Meh, I won't be watching another second of these playoffs.

Just not interested. The NHL is very strange.

I have better things to do so maybe talk again after the summer?

That’s the problem with Leaf fans. Just watch their team. If they actually watched other teams play they would actually see how far away they actually are from being a true contender for the cup.

Poor guy. Can't wait for an epic video later. He promised us some volcanic explosion after the G3 If the Leafs falter.

I dont hate the Dangs. Dude is entertaining . I feel for his misery. Dude obviously bleeds Blue and White. .... But man are his videos after a soulsucking Leafs defeat legendary. Hang in there Dangs!
As a Jackets fan, I can only dream of this misery. Only had one year of a serious play off entertainment ever. It’s either no play offs or a blow out in the first round for us

Well, Toronto finally won a round. Is that enough to stop heads from rolling? We're about to find out. Personally, I think Dubas should go and Keefe should stay, but it'll probably be the other way around.

I am absolutely upset about this.

I'm also kind of astonished that you're a Habs fan and you don't think the Bruins are the our biggest rival.

Unbelievable. The Leafs core of Matthews, Tavares, Mariner and Nylander is flawed. Out of these players Matthews sticks out as the choke artist. He brought absolutely nothing in this playoffs. Leafs should move on from him and Tavares.
Good stats players in the regular season do not make for actual results in the playoffs. I don't blame the Leafs fans that want to blow up the core. Marner I actually quite liked, but his timid play in the playoffs and his looking at Refs for calls, really is disappointing for a hockey fan. I think when Tkachuk punched him when the game ended the other night and he just taking it tells the story of both players. You got to show some anger and not take that. Tkachuk knew what he was doing, and that was symbolic of how Panthers play, and how the Leafs play.

Exciting game, another gutsy effort by the Leafs but perhaps to little too late. If they brought that battle level from the start could have been a different results.

Change will be coming to the Leafs in all likelihood. This is a contending calibre team, and they've shown well in spots this playoffs. Hopefully the changes will bring them another step closer to their goal.

Full marks to the Cats they've come ready to play all series.

Honestly, based on the last ten years, I'd even put the Senators above the Bruins. I've been a Habs fan since 2002 and at no point during that time has there been an actual on-ice rivalry between Toronto and Montreal. They've never been good at the same time.
