Nope. Well below average actually

I'm surprised there are so many that think the playoffs are in reach.

On a different topic I thought it was an entertaining game. The refs just amped up the emotion in the game with their calls/no calls

Exciting, but frustrating game to watch. Worst officiating I can recall in recent memory and it had a big effect on the outcome, though bad puck-luck didn't help.
Now for some controversy. I have been very positive on Scheif ever since we drafted him, but i am beginning to think he needs to go to St Johns for a while. He is being knocked around, beaten to the puck and just generally schooled, not helping the team or himself. It might help his game to go down for a while and give O'Dell a chance. Looking at Monahan's on-ice poise and skills compared to Scheifele, it's like night and day.

It would require massive regression by the Avs and the Jets to play better than the Stars and I don't think that's possible since Seguin, Benn and Lethonen are all considerably better than anything the Jets have.

I think Scheif was just taking his man, leaving a clear view for Montoya, on the assumption that Montoya was in the usual upright position that goalies tend to be in.

I don't care what he was doing, it still deflected off his skate. Montoya played good tonight. That one goal was iffy, but it came after a loooong period of the flames controlling in our zone and was deflected as well...

DonT think O'Dell could do worse than Scheif quite frankly, Scheif has been really bad in the last two games, pretty tough to argue against this. I'm not a fan of keeping someone in the lineup who isn't contributing.

The Jets are in probably the worst possible position right now. They're better than a bunch of East teams but have almost no chance of making the playoffs in the West. So you spend the whole season watching a non-playoff team and then end up with the 10th pick at the end of the season, it's pretty frustrating.

You never know what can happen. The Jets are a powerful team in their own right. It could take a trade or a bit of maturation and they could take off. You can feel how close they are right now. They haven't been outmatched more than a couple of times all season, despite playing a ridiculously tough schedule in terms of opposition so far.

I thought Montoya was fantastic. That last goal kindof pops the balloon on how well he played 'cause he just looked so rediculous flailing around like that but he made some key stops and did his job for the most part.

Don't like to blame the reffing, but that was pretty horrendous.

You want controversy? I'll give you controversy...I'm starting to question Schief's future in the NHL.

:amazed:

He looks incredibly soft much of the time.

Hard to get back in the game when the refs are doing their best to gift Calgary 2 points.

Great missed call on the interference on Byfuglien that led to a late Calgary goal.

Please stop crying over the refs, the jets were behind all game long and tied it with 5 sec. Left, it was a good effort

If they're an entertaining team I don't care that much if they don't hang around for a few playoff games on top of the 82 I'm already committed to watch. They're very entertaining and almost every opposition broadcast I watch goes on and on about how fast and exciting the game is, including tonight where what seemed to be an ordinary opening period of Jets hockey had the Calgary guys repeatedly remarking about what a fast game it was.

Wouldn't go that far but he clearly doesn't belong in the NHL right now. 20 plus games and he's had 3-4 good games.

Suck it Refs, suck long and suck it hard!

I agree that goalies should be alternated in back to backs but I'm a firm believer you start your number 1 against a weak team (or a perceived "should" win game).

That last Flames goal was just crap bad luck. Montoya made some really good saves. It was just a weird game.

Somebody needs to teach Mr. Money Phone some tricks for shoot outs.

Are you kidding me? Entertaining? There's been maybe four really entertaining games this season. The rest have been frustrating as hell ftmp.

I am with you Andy.....we are in a brutal division (to date at least) and I am going to take a break on the playoff hunt and just enjoy the games for what they are which is entertaining. I am not giving up hope but I will focus on the moment and have some fun and a few laughs.

Four games? Only four entertaining games? You must grade very tough , lots of frustration but many more than 4 entertaining games imo .

Audio: Montoya, Jokinen, Ladd and Little. As per usual Olli doesn't sugar coat the loss. Worth a listen.

I just don't think they have enough talent to make it, not in the West anyways. They're sticking in games, which is good but they're not finishing on the right end of them enough of the time. I'd like to be wrong but I don't think we'll be seeing playoff hockey in Winnipeg for some time, this team is still too far away from that in the West. The teams ahead of the Jets are not necessarily old either.

Had to miss all but the last 2 min of OT and the s/o. Refs Make a specifically bad call or just all over the place?

I don't understand why some people are saying we are already almost done playoff wise. We are only 2 1/2 games behind as of now. Just have to string a few together and win these games that they really should win.

**** I hope there is another side to little getting the misconduct. If what he said is true, then the refs can really **** right off, would of loved him in the shoot out.
