I think Scheif was just taking his man, leaving a clear view for Montoya, on the assumption that Montoya was in the usual upright position that goalies tend to be in.

Schiefele got caught on the cycle and took forever to get back in the play, unless he was told to play LD on that shift.

Had to miss all but the last 2 min of OT and the s/o. Refs Make a specifically bad call or just all over the place?

I don't understand why some people are saying we are already almost done playoff wise. We are only 2 1/2 games behind as of now. Just have to string a few together and win these games that they really should win.

**** I hope there is another side to little getting the misconduct. If what he said is true, then the refs can really **** right off, would of loved him in the shoot out.

Pretty obvious interference call on the Flames 3rd goal. Flames fans said that the subsequent tying goal by the Jets shouldn't have counted due to crosschecking but I don't know.

I'm at the end of my rope with this officiating we've been getting! Against the Wild, Buff was tripped at the blue line on a PP but no call. Tonight, that was the worst non call I've ever seen in almost 40 years of watching hockey! I was almost too stunned to be angry (almost)! Even when Buff scored I was still annoyed since we should have been winning not tied at that point.

Jets played hard but had no luck and crap reffing (that call on Wheeler in OT was brutal). It's time the Jets management/owners get some answers from the league as to why the no calls.

No one is making you watch the Jets...

To be fair, losing a game even if it's an entertaining one can suck the fun out of it completely for some people. Same thing with winning a boring game. Minnesota seemed to be pretty happy with their win yesterday, for example.

I'll admit tonight was fun to watch, but coming out on the wrong end of it again puts a damper on it.

Disappointing.

Saw the last bit. Just, straight disappointing. I caught a bit of the first period and thought "wow we got this"

come back from work and we're down 4-3, radio on in car, Little ties I'm thinking its a sign from the hockey gods...driving down crowchild partying at the red lights in my car like a madman...

get home, get the stream.....

annnnnnnnnnnnd

my heart sinks many levels.

All I gotta say is, I didn't catch the whole game so there's a lot of context missing. I'm very neutral about the Flames. Never hated them, never loved them, all my friends who are Flames fans are super chill and the Jets are their 2nd favourite team so they're always cheering them on too.

But I still was, of course, hoping for a win.

Hopefully when they come to Calgary, the Jets will pick it up and win it...both trips.

We are even , 23 points 23 games , Colorado is plus 9 , 28 points , 19 games , they currently are in the last playoff spot.

Different ways to look at points and positions of course , but hovering at .500 isn't going to get it done.

lmao the jets have had plenty more entertaining games than otherwise. playoffs obv out of reach in our division but not gonna give up hope. we could easily reel off 5 of 6 on upcoming road trip east and inch up a bit maybe

That goal started on another bad play behind the net, Schief made next to no attempt at checking the guy with the puck!

I think the Avs are going to regress from this, but even still they're a better team than Winnipeg. On paper this team is about right where they should be, it's brutally hard to make the playoffs in the West this year. Too bad the Jets couldn't ask to stay in the East.

DonT think O'Dell could do worse than Scheif quite frankly, Scheif has been really bad in the last two games, pretty tough to argue against this. I'm not a fan of keeping someone in the lineup who isn't contributing.

What are you talking about sip? Scheifele contributed - he scored a goal in third period. Sure, he scored on his own goalie, but you gotta start somewhere right?

People blaming the person that accidentally deflected the puck for the goal is probably just about the most ridiculous thing in hockey, imo

The Jets are in probably the worst possible position right now. They're better than a bunch of East teams but have almost no chance of making the playoffs in the West. So you spend the whole season watching a non-playoff team and then end up with the 10th pick at the end of the season, it's pretty frustrating.

Teams like Boston and LA and Detroit, and soon to be Dallas, are proof you don't need to tank and finish near the bottom of the league for 3 or more years to ice a cup contender on a consistent basis. This is the direction I prefer the Jets to take.

Scheif was at the end of a long shift, his linemates changed and he couldn't get off. Buff turned it over and then Clitty and Ladd couldn't get it out, that's why they scored there.

This team is playing well and earning points but their slow start could cost them again this year. I wish we could start strong for once, Wheeler takes forever to get going every year. Ive enjoyed most games and feel with the injuries we have on D that we are holding our own. Kane is due, look for a hatty soon.

There is a lot to talk about. However, I am pleased as punch that tonight I will go to bed, knowing that I have better dangles then a $5+ million dollar NHL winger.

On a side note, I love how Berra challenges in the SO, trusts his backwards skating and forces you to deke, unless you pick a corner like the beauty Ladd got.

Also had an assist on the winning Minni goal last night...two points in two nights!:sarcasm:

I'd like to understand how the refs don't make that call there. It was impossible not see. There is no way they decided it wasn't a penalty. So WTF? It was pretty close to that blown Duchene offside last year.

The Jets are in a position where they desperately need some high end talent because I'm not sure if any of the players on this team have it. You could get it from the 10th pick, sure. Much more likely in the higher picks though. Dallas also lucked in to getting Tyler Seguin, who was a high draft pick but didn't happen to be drafted by the Stars. I would have easily traded Kane for Seguin if you give the Jets that opportunity.

11th right now. Every team above the Jets in the standings has between 2 and 4 games in hand except for Vancouver and Anaheim. Only have more ROW (tiebreaker) than Edmonton. Nashville is 3 points behind in 12th with 3 games in hand. 3-8-1 against our division. The team we're chasing for the last playoff spot is winning more than 70% of their games, we're .500! The Jets would have to go on a tremendous sustained run (like a whole month) to push themselves into legitimate playoff contention. The last run just pushed them above Calgary and Edmonton.

It also takes some luck. Getting a Jamie Benn in the 5th round helps. Dallas looks like a team that won't hold up. Colorado as well. They are pretty damn thin past the top line. Colorado has and AHL defence core.
