I think Tkachuk is insanely overrated, and it's an overpayment, but I think it works out well for Florida's window.

I think Ottawa likely had to do it... but it doesn't help them or really fit into their window a far as I'm concerned, so they may want to flip those assets.

Honestly I'm not even sure I understand this trade for Florida either. They now have $7 million in cap space without having a goalie and trading all of their 1sts until 2030. Even if they fill out their skaters with Schwindt and Sebrango for $1.6 million combined, are you getting competent goaltending whatsoever for $5.4 million? I'm pretty skeptical about it.

It doesn't matter if they have the rattiest team ever between Bennett, Marchand and the Tkachuk bros if their goalies are giving them an .850 save%.
Rodrigues and Boqvist are 4.5 mil right there. I’m sure they have a target.

They’ll throw Marchand to the alligators at some point to open up cap
