Honestly I'm not even sure I understand this trade for Florida either. They now have $7 million in cap space without having a goalie and trading all of their 1sts until 2030. Even if they fill out their skaters with Schwindt and Sebrango for $1.6 million combined, are you getting competent goaltending whatsoever for $5.4 million? I'm pretty skeptical about it.

It doesn't matter if they have the rattiest team ever between Bennett, Marchand and the Tkachuk bros if their goalies are giving them an .850 save%.
Rodrigues to PIT for a 2nd, clears $3 mil in space
They use two 2nds and a prospect for a goalie

Gives them $8.4 mil in space

Yeah no tax state and they make more money... Needs to be stopped before we have another shutdown of the league... The small market teams are getting f***ed

According to Lebrun Carolina and Minnesota were on Brady's list along with Florida and Vegas. The common denominator there is not taxes. Seems to me to be winning and US teams.

If I'm Ottawa, sure, I make that trade every single day.
A package of nothing but picks, for a team supposed to be entering their window?
No, disaster for Ottawa if they don’t turn around and acquire a big replacement.
I say this knowing full well Detroit could be next in line for a return like this on Larkin.

It was pretty obvious after all the shit Americans got for the phone call that a lot of them were going to want out.

I don’t agree with them, I don’t disagree with them, but it’s unfortunate to see so many teams I enjoyed watching lose star power

jack and quinn hughes somehow go to florida as well when their contracts are up. ( obviously some players have to be moved for them to fit them all under the cap)
