Its hilarious that all the Insiders were worried about Mathews requesting a trade all off-season....turns out they were worried about the wrong Captain lmao

But that just goes to show how Irrelevant the sens are to the Canadian Media. Its sad actually

Don't have much of an opinion on the trade other than I wonder what this means for Florida's goaltending situation. They currently don't have a starter or a backup for next season, and now are pretty limited in terms of cap space and trade assets.

Kinda shocked that that 9th overall pick wasn't moved for Helly or Shesty.

Still time for Matthew's to ask out.

Honestly I'm not even sure I understand this trade for Florida either. They now have $7 million in cap space without having a goalie and trading all of their 1sts until 2030. Even if they fill out their skaters with Schwindt and Sebrango for $1.6 million combined, are you getting competent goaltending whatsoever for $5.4 million? I'm pretty skeptical about it.

It doesn't matter if they have the rattiest team ever between Bennett, Marchand and the Tkachuk bros if their goalies are giving them an .850 save%.
I definitely think you can make it work, but with goalies there is always an element of luck involved. Look at someone like Bussi for example. You put a great team in front of even an average goalie and their chances of success go up exponentially.

Tristan Jarry’s cap hit fits into that perfectly.

Insane. Bobrovsky going to stay for league minimum now? Lol. He'll be 38 in September. Can't see there being much of a market for him to get his 6 years $6 million.
Unless Zito has some more magic to get Hellebuyck.
