Waiting for someone to draw a line between politics and marquee American players wanting out of Canada at an unprecedented level. I won’t do it but someone will.

I'm just surprised it's all picks and not a single roster player.

Yeah I would view this as completely unacceptable as a Sens fan.

You’ve made a division opponent stronger without giving up a roster player. Lundell not coming back the other way (for example) is just bad business and sends a terrible message to your team.

They're not rebuilding and the only confirmed high pick is the 9th overall. This package isn't all that unless they're able to swing it for something concrete which uh, good luck, because you're f***ing Ottawa.
Who said they’re rebuilding?

Honestly I'm not even sure I understand this trade for Florida either. They now have $7 million in cap space without having a goalie and trading all of their 1sts until 2030. Even if they fill out their skaters with Schwindt and Sebrango for $1.6 million combined, are you getting competent goaltending whatsoever for $5.4 million? I'm pretty skeptical about it.

It doesn't matter if they have the rattiest team ever between Bennett, Marchand and the Tkachuk bros if their goalies are giving them an .850 save%.

As we just saw with Marner, it's a lot different to be the 2nd best forward on a team as opposed to more of a depth role. Brady is going to thrive in Florida with the amount of talent they have and no pressure on him.

That's fair it's also a lot easier to run around when you've got Barkov taking care of the other side of the ice
