Your ability to understand who is "the guy" is immediately exposed by using points/60 in a 6 game sample to demonstrate a point. Adam Guadette is 2nd on that list.
Well, no, he was THE guy that series. Idk how anyone with eyes watching it could conclude otherwise. Again, he isn't meant to be THE guy to carry an offense though.

They didn't have a spot for Mackie to really develop further and Zito tends to do right by players. The 1st round pick was also included in this trade, so the two trades are definitely related.
One of those deals that works out for everyone involved...although going to Seattle, I don't know how good that is. Like you said, at least he should get some good playing time

I tend to think both trades were good for both teams, given where the players involved were with the team they were traded from. But HFBoards needs clear losers AINEC.

I think this is a great move by Staios. Brady only had 2 years left. If they were playoff bound at deadline 2028, Brady might stay, then they either miss or lose in the playoffs, and he walks for nothing. Or they trade him at the deadline and the return pales in comparison to this one.
But instead they get 3 1sts (including a 9OA) and a 2nd.

Besides, he may have requested a trade to Florida to play with his brother.
Better to deal with the Brady problem
Now. It’ll just magnify as time goes on

He hasn't been "the guy" for a number of seasons in Ottawa. A 6 game sample doesn't change that. He definitely wasn't "the guy" in Jan 2025 when he went 10 games without a point and the team went 6-3-1.

We are talking about a player who averaged under 17 minutes a game this last season btw. Under 14 minutes at evens strength. Trying to label that as "the guy" is idiotic.

Wild.

Canadian teams will never draft an American-born player ever again.

I dislike the Senators, but hope they draft some of the best players for their franchise in this trade.
They just might change the trajectory of their franchise for years to come but...... to say Canadian teams aren't going to draft American players ever again is laughable .

Has to be around Lundell. Wonder if FL didn't include him because there's something going on with Winnipeg, or he doesn't want to give him up. Without Lundell there's no way Helle goes to FL.

Then it's not happening. Lundell ain't going anywhere, Zito will hang up.
But if rumors are true, Helle wants out and already shortlisted Florida. Gotta imagine after today the group chats must be cooking. Helle might be more inclined to come. Either way Zito's gotta do something about the goalie situation. Something's going to happen.

...what picks??...they don't have a 1st until 2030...

yeah, 2030,31,32,34....etc take your pick. Zito will gladly offer them.

Marchy with that lineup is gonna pop 30 plus with his eyes close
Maybe. But for now, it's a question of "if." We'll see, BT won't see any more PP1, it's possible some players might want some playing time. I'm intrigued, everyone's giving the cup to Florida, I'm going to wait.

Marchand played 52 games last year..... Again, Marshy will be 39. At 39, sometimes, the elastic doesn't stretch as much.
