Unions are too powerful now this is why this is happening in my opinion. NMC clauses are killing teams and fans bases are getting pissed.
Like I said, if NMCs are a big issue, owners need to sacrifice something to do away with them.

Ticket prices also suck, and Gary said that's what the 04 lockout was about but it didn't change anything as owners just wanted a guaranteed cut of revenue in order to drive up franchise valuations.

Fans are in the middle of all of it, but I don't blame the players.

He might have been considered the face of the franchise at one point, but that doesn't mean his talent level merits the title of franchise player.

I believe Stutzle and Sanderson are the Sens only franchise players.
Genuinely felt Brady was always very mid. He has all the attributes physically but he has to be one of the lowest IQ players I've seen in a long time get the kind of "star" treatment he gets. He took stupid penalties at important moments in games and for some reason he enjoys getting beat up on opening faceoffs.

The organization is better off with him out of the picture.

Ottawa fans must be gutted.

A franchise player traded to a division rival so he can bro down and do opinionated podcasts.
I’m an Ottawa fan and I’m elated. Not sure why these boards think that we liked Brady. You defend your players while they play for you. But let’s be honest, Brady isn’t what, their third best player at best? Staois did well on this, for a player that was clearly one foot out the door and even his own locker room didn’t like him. Sens fans by and large are pretty excited about this trade and what it means moving forward.

Probably has a really good chance at being a decent result for Ottawa and I am not a Brady fan at all, think he is overrrated in pretty much every aspect. I don’t think it was smart for Zito to blow his draft haul on a middling winger with so many other holes to fill and an older overall roster if that’s what he did here.
From your keypad to God's ear...

Marshy is one of my two favourite Bruins. I am also a Bruins fan and got to watch him all his career. I know he might get to it, but at 39, I always tend to be careful, expectations are made on what he did, not where he might currently be
He was already losing a step before the move to Florida rejuvenated him. He couldn't stay healthy last year either, Father time is undefeated.

Take it down a level, we're taking about Brady Tkachuk here lol.
Brady Tkachuk has the 2nd most points per game in the last 7 seasons for Ottawa only Tim Stutzle out paced him in that department.

Tkachuk was also their captain and say what you will about him but he stuck up for his teammates on the ice, look at their lineup as it is now, their top 6 is only Stutzle and Batherson.

This can’t be the final move before the draft Staios has to pivot to a scoring winger like Jason Robertson, Ottawa can’t keep rebuilding perpetually, every 5 to 10 years it’s not sustainable if they ever want to be a competitive franchise again.

Like when the Habs only did French Canadians.
That was before the creation of, Free agency !

Look.... you guys can scream & cry all you want about, not drafting American players all you want . But, sooner or later you're going to even push your own homegrown talent to go the Eric Lindros route too !

f***.....in a couple of years, Canada may not even have Mcdavid up there either .

I don't get why & where things went wrong up in Canada with, hockey . Bettman may be the cause, maybe it's the money or, maybe it's the fans sense of entitlement that just pushes great players south of the border .

Either way...... you Canadian fans that are that way need to give your balls a tug & lay off of them or, it'll be another 33 years before you get the Cup .

I also maintain that Brady was a shit captain, you have no idea how sick I was hearing him say after blowout losses throughout his entire captaincy:

"We just weren't ready"

WHY WEREN'T YOU READY YOU'RE BEING PAID MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO A SPORT, HOW DOES THIS CONSTANTLY HAPPEN.

Lol

Then it's not happening. Lundell ain't going anywhere, Zito will hang up.
But if rumors are true, Helle wants out and already shortlisted Florida. Gotta imagine after today the group chats must be cooking. Helle might be more inclined to come. Either way Zito's gotta do something about the goalie situation. Something's going to happen.

yeah, 2030,31,32,34....etc take your pick. Zito will gladly offer them.
Good. He can hang up. You gave up the world for brady and think you'll get helle for nothing :laugh:

Obviously, I hope this works out for my team, but here's what will work out for Ottawa:

The NHL is pretty happy to see these two knuckleheads on the same team, it's good for entertainment and promotion. The commish won't forget this.
