We can't give you a tailored diet plan without knowing your caloric needs.

You'll also need a lot more than a few days to see results.

Never fast. Proper conditioning is more important but be mindful of what you consume.

Depends if you play forward or are the typical lazy Beer League D !!!!!
Stop eating wings and drinking beers with the boys !

The decline is on! The most challenging one to date, easy to blame the underlying circumstances though, wait till next year, I'll show them.:razz:




If you want to feel like a king for a day, or if more applicable, a queen,:DD do a spa day. Took one of the sisters that's visiting as a birthday gift, even got myself a mani-pedi, good stuff! It was funny that one of the staff thought we were a couple which is not surprising as we look nothing at all alike but indeed do have the same parents. Many of us have had our DNA done with one of those genetic genealogy laboratories, fascinating stuff and interesting how physical appearance can vary so greatly.
It's cool that she has updated her vaccines etc and will be joining us finally on the dark continent, can't wait to see her reactions when introducing her to a few friends as she's super high-strung and a hell of a screamer, it's gonna be a blast.:laugh:

This is a load of bunk. There is absolutely nothing wrong with fasting, in fast there is plenty of science based evidence that demonstrates the health benefits of fasting, of which, there are several.

I'm interested in links if you have some. I don't think there is that much evidence.

A review I found had this to say :

Basically it's the caloric restriction that does the work, although it seems to have a positive effect on insulin, which is very nice for people that have trouble controlling that.

Again I'm not shitting on it, I believe it's just as good as a normal diet if you prefer it, but to say there's tons of evidence that demonstrates the health benefits of fasting, of which, there are several. Is pretty much wrong, I think ?

I’m not going to post every link. Throw the question into ChatGpt and you’ll get plenty of links. A wide variety of benefits. Having done it several times myself I can say anecdotally I never felt better than when I was on a strict fasting routine, clearer head, more energy and overall feeling of wellness.

Anecdotally, that's super dope. If you feel great doing something, keep it up.

But evidence beyond caloric restriction is something else.

I'd read that extended fasting can help with regenerating cells in the body... essentially allowing the body to kind of renew itself. Cited as a big benefit.

That is true. There are a ton of benefits to fasting. I just threw the list in that ChatGPT returned first try. If you prompt for more, you would get more. These go beyond being in a caloric deficit. Studies even show that fasting increases HGH. This stuff isn’t that hard to find.

Spending a few days in Boston visiting some family and friends and completely turkey'd out after the gorging and going to the game on Sunday. Our hosts have a bowling alley in their basement and not a novice to the game, but it's fun to do and should do it more often.

I made it to 30 off on the scale a week ago. In the meantime I've probably put it all back on. Struggling to stay current with my workouts, down to about two per week since the holiday season began. Birthdays, visitors, food... it's all getting in the way. That's cool though. When January hits, I'll join the masses and work to really nail things down.

One of the best gifts I ever received, the back has not felt this good since I was kid. Feel taller and lighter on my feet and even got a zit, thought those days were long gone.
