We can't give you a tailored diet plan without knowing your caloric needs.

You'll also need a lot more than a few days to see results.

Never fast. Proper conditioning is more important but be mindful of what you consume.

The decline is on! The most challenging one to date, easy to blame the underlying circumstances though, wait till next year, I'll show them.

If you want to feel like a king for a day, or if more applicable, a queen,:DD do a spa day. Took one of the sisters that's visiting as a birthday gift, even got myself a mani-pedi, good stuff! It was funny that one of the staff thought we were a couple which is not surprising as we look nothing at all alike but indeed do have the same parents. Many of us have had our DNA done with one of those genetic genealogy laboratories, fascinating stuff and interesting how physical appearance can vary so greatly.
It's cool that she has updated her vaccines etc and will be joining us finally on the dark continent, can't wait to see her reactions when introducing her to a few friends as she's super high-strung and a hell of a screamer, it's gonna be a blast.

This is a load of bunk. There is absolutely nothing wrong with fasting, in fast there is plenty of science based evidence that demonstrates the health benefits of fasting, of which, there are several.

There are tons of evidence
I'm interested in links if you have some. I don't think there is that much evidence.

A review I found had this to say :
IF has emerged as an alternative dietary intervention to CR, with equivalent benefits in body weight reduction, improvements in glucose homeostasis and lipid profiles, and anti-inflammatory effects. The beneficial effects of IF are mediated by reductions in body weight. Weight loss per se improves insulin resistance, cardiovascular risks, and systemic inflammatory status because obesity functions as a common pathophysiology of these metabolic alterations, the “common soil hypothesis” [97]. Moreover, the insulin-lowering effect is greater in IF than in CR resulting from fasting physiology, in which repetitive metabolic switching between feeding and fasting states improves the metabolic flexibility that is blunted in obesity and T2DM.

Although the general effects of IF are beneficial in terms of metabolic functions, some participants who participated in IF trials experienced reductions in bone density and lean body mass. Thus, careful monitoring, a protein-rich diet, and accompanying isometric resistance training are recommended to preserve lean body mass and bone density.
(Song, D. K., & Kim, Y. W. ,2023).

and

In summary, intermittent fasting has shown positive effects on weight loss, in addition to reducing insulin resistance and favorably shifting the levels of leptin and adiponectin. Pre-clinical and clinical studies have demonstrated that intermittent fasting has a wide range of benefits for many diseases, including obesity, T2DM, and hypertension, and in improving cardiovascular risk factors. One argument against intermittent fasting is that, despite extensive animal data, many clinical trials have failed to show as significant improvements of intermittent fasting over caloric restriction. In the absence of large randomized controlled trials testing the efficacy and side effects of intermittent fasting in individuals with MetS, prediabetes and T2DM for extended durations, it is difficult to ascertain the risk to benefit ratio of the different intermittent fasting regimens. Studies assessing long-term follow-up are needed for assessing efficacy as a permanent life style approach.
(Vassim, 2022)

Basically it's the caloric restriction that does the work, although it seems to have a positive effect on insulin, which is very nice for people that have trouble controlling that.

Again I'm not shitting on it, I believe it's just as good as a normal diet if you prefer it, but to say there's tons of evidence that demonstrates the health benefits of fasting, of which, there are several. Is pretty much wrong, I think ?

I’m not going to post every link. Throw the question into ChatGpt and you’ll get plenty of links. A wide variety of benefits. Having done it several times myself I can say anecdotally I never felt better than when I was on a strict fasting routine, clearer head, more energy and overall feeling of wellness.

Anecdotally, that's super dope. If you feel great doing something, keep it up.

But evidence beyond caloric restriction is something else.

I'd read that extended fasting can help with regenerating cells in the body... essentially allowing the body to kind of renew itself. Cited as a big benefit.
